I''ve had a Bissell Lift-Off for over a year and it is excellent. I got a reconditioned one for £40 then and it was a great buy. Looked like new when it arrived. I went for it after having a couple of disasters with Dysons which both broke just outside of warranty. The Bissell has a really powerful suck and the beater bar is excellent for lifting dog hairs, etc. Incidentally, I also bought a reconditioned Bissell Pro heat carpet cleaner and that's great too.

I got a reconditioned Lift Off from Bissell a year or so ago and i'm sure it was about £25 at the time. It took a good few months to arrive!

One thing to note is that if you want to use it on stairs you might need to buy another attachment. Which I did and it took even longer to arrive then the cleaner!

Did you phone them or let time pass by?

And other old vac attachments work just as well :)

I did phone them about my vac order which wasn't in stock and took about 3 or 4 months or so to come in. You'd think they'd have recons on the shelf but they had to wait for them to come in.

They didn't charge me until it was despatched and as it was such a good price I just waited patiently.

The CS is quite good but that is only from my experience.

That wait is far too long :)

Received mine yesterday (would have been Tuesday only they tried to delivery whilst i was not at home and i got it redirected to my work), used it last nite very impressed - sad as it may sound i hovered my front room with my old hoover then went over again with my new one - amazed at what it picked up that the old hoover missed. As said before quite heavy - i got the red one.

If you've got carpets you may want to either adjust the bristle roller height or switch it off otherwise you'll find that half your carpet is in the transparent waste collector.
