I have informed CBK that if I don''t get some progress on the car insurance cashback within 2 weeks then I will seek legal advice.

    I live in hope!!

Don't think you'll get far there. The cashback is not guaranteed, so if the supplier declines to pay, i don't think you can do a lot about it. Who are CBK?

Quidco site has a full explanation as to why insurance companies sometimes don't pay out. Basically using comparison sites to find a cheap quote then going via Quidco can screw everything up.

    Hi Dave,
The problem with that theory is that there seems to be enough people who have also been declined who have not used a comparison website.
Also it wasn't a problem in the past and Martins instructions for using Cashback sites recommends using comparison sites directly before using the cashback site !
It's not just about the money

Churchill and Green Flag, quotes one day through Quidco, signed up through Quidco following day. NO comparison sites visited (sorry Martin ) only quotes from other Quidco Insurers.

My transactions havn't even tracked so don't see much chance of success

That's a total of £ 120-00 out of pocket, RBS will not be getting any further business from me if they don't pay up

Someone I work with said to me today, what would stop Quidco taking the payment and keeping it? We deal with quidco only, as does the merchant, no contact at all between us and the insurer.

I mean £5 a year from each member cant really add up to that much surely.

Id imagine this isnt the case, but i do like conspiracy theories

And what Martin says is Gospel to you?

His advice now appears flawed and probably needs revising.

The only flaw with this one is the grief Quidco are getting I would be surprised if it would be worth doing at least not for long anyway. Far more likely a greedy corporate ploy as they can cut and run
