Got our £100 for car insurance from Churchill end of May. We only took out the policy early April so very fast.
We never use the car insurance comparison sites, as I always suspected they would have a claim in for the commission before the Quidco referral.

just had e2save declined now!!! no reason for this as i only went via quidco!

That is now £145 lost in the last 2 months. Quidco is certainly not as good as others in my opinion as more and more cashbacks are getting refused.

It would be interesting to start a thread just to see how many people do not get paid out with quidco.

Do you think it would be worth contacting Churhill directly and query why cashback has not been paid?
Would I be within my rights to cancel my motor insurance and claim money back minus the time under cover?

    I've been Money Tipped!

Did mine via CBK 4 months ago. Still waiting for cashback. CBK say they've contacted Churchill and please to be patient. They're having a laugh!!

Don't know what to do really to get the cashback, any suggestions welcome.

I feel so sorry for all of you in this Churchill mess and hope you get it sorted, it's a disgrace.
From a legal point of view it was the cashback site who offered the cashback, different sites offered different amounts.
I hope someone challenges these sites for the transactions which actually tracked and were declined.
I think for the money involved it may be worthwhile sending a LBA demanding that the money is added/paid or else suing via Money Claim Online. I would very much doubt the cashback site would spend the money fighting the claim, paying for solicitors, travelling costs etc. especially if they might lose.
It seems a grey area where these "enticements" are concerned, but maybe if it can be proven that the transaction did go via one of these sites and was refused then they have either mislead/cheated people. The advertising side of things needs testing.
Maybe we could share the cost of suing between us MSE members if anyone fancies going down this route, it would not be much and I'm willing to donate a fiver to anyone who may think it is worth it (1 genuine member who has got what it takes).

    Best of luck,

    Lynsey

Churchill paid out £100 on my car insurance in only about two months. To date, I have never had any problems with Quidco payouts, and have made quite a bit from them in the last year.

No afraid not, we went through a third party, it has nothing to do with the insurer, churchill made a deal with quidco and in turn we had an agreement with quidco, no contracts and nothing in writing. Unfortunatly we do have a contract with churchill which says if we cancel outside of the 14 day cooling off period we will be charged a £50 cancellation fee.

there is only one loser and that is us the customer.

I took out a churchill home contents policy via quidco on 23 February 08 with 70.00 cashback. I have queried its status regularly with quidco because it would say payable in march - march would end and the payable date would change to the end of the following month and this continued all the way to June. Last week the status changed to declined!

I have raised yet another ticket with quidco and am awaiting the outcome. This was my first and probably last dealing with quidco. I have used topcashback for a number of insurance policies and never had any problem whatsoever. Should have stuck with them! Topcashback has a far speedier customer service than quidco as well.
