OneStopPhoneShop - Cashback Advice Needed Pretty Please!
Hey folks,
I took out a deal from OSPS last week after i got the email from topcashback.co.uk.
I've never visited this particular forum before, after reading some threads I now realise I should not have jumped into this cashback deal.
But, if i understand what's involved from the beginning and I set reminders when to send the bills etc, I should have a good chance of success right?
Yes I have read the relevant threads on here (or the basics at least, page 1 of "Cashback guide for Dummies" and upto page 5 of "been ripped off by e2save...")
My phone was ordered Thurs Jun 12th and was recieved Fri Jun 13th
I have not done anything with it yet like put the sim card in or anything as I'm still not sure whether to send it back and avoid all this cashback headache yet. Answers to this thread will help me to decide.
I've had no bill through yet and it is on Orange on the Dolphin £30 Tariff (12 mth contract)
So, here is the information I have received from them on receving the cashback.
I have checked the T&Cs on their website (and saved them) but cannot find any info relating to the cashback deal in them. So that leaves:-
#1 - On the email confirmation of the order:
"How do you claim the discounted line rental?
Send your 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th monthly bills within 30 days of the date stated on the relevant airtime bill, to us and we will credit you by cheque with £90.00 each time."
#2 - On the "Your Offer Explained" Sheet. Here is a photograph of the cashback part.
Unfortunately some of the words are ineligble as can be seen.

#3 - Members area of onestopphoneshop Website. Here is a screenshot.

#4 - The Customer Services section of OSPS Website.
http://www.onestopphoneshop.co.uk/customer-services and clicking on "How Do I Claim?"

Lastly, I did succesfully receive the 6 cashback vouchers in the welcome pack.
Is there any advice anyone can give me. I've never been on Orange before, they will send you the first bill in a few days right? As mentioned I have not put the sim in yet as the label on the box says you waive the right to a 14 day cease if you do so. I wanted to make sure I was going ahead before doing so.
Also does it also matter i'm planning on porting my number from o2 over to this plan?
So, can anyone please give me any concrete advice on this, or any other sound info. Is it worth ringing OSPS up and speaking to them to clarify the cashback deal and get it in writing or recording the conversation??
Many thanks for any info and I have learnt my lesson, I will not jump into such an offer again without researching fully first.
Cheers,
Aux

ok, dont read all that.
earlier i thought sod this im not getting involved in this sh*t and rang them to do the 14 day cease.
the guy however convinced me to stay as he made it sound so simple, i think i have another day to ring back. i just dont know what to do.
he said basically all i need to do is send my novemeber bill to them within 60 days of getting it.
he has emailed me the months for bills i need to send (6,8,10,12 months etc)
i think i have 7 days to notify them for the 14 day cease, so tomorrow is my last day
i asked him to put it all in writing and he said he would do by email. he did email me but it just states the following:
" Just to confirm the dates you need to send in your bill to us is as follows. November - month 6
January - month 8
March - month 10
May - month 12
I hope this reassures you."
while im at it, where the flip are the t&c's relating to the cashback deal which all these threads tell me to read?. the t&c's on the OSPS website do not mention anything about the cashback deal.
i just dont know who to listen to and what advice to follow.

osps and e2savwe are one and the same - they use the same office and their letterhead has both names on it.
The service is the same from both companies.
Have a read through the e2save problems thread before making your mind up.0 -
thanks Quentin. ive done a fair bit of reading of threads on here over the last week.
have read the whole "cashback guide for dummies" thread (first 3 pages twice), upto page 5 of the "cashback golden rules" first few pages of the 89 page e2save thread.(i think it would take me weeks to reach the end of that)
as i said in another post if i had been a regular on here before i ordered the damn thinng, i would not have done so, in this case i was gullable.
also, yes i am greedy, i would be saving quite a bit of money over the year if this works out and im struggling financially at the moment.
i guess i will havemy tea and spend the rest of the evening reading the e2saves thread.
thanks for the response0
