I have a Netgear DG834GT wireless network and the philips VL1200 video sender (gave the link to the argos website in my first post buut you can probably find it elsewhere for less). You can buy extra receivers - the philips VL1205 - in order to transmit the signal to a third or fourth TV. There are lots of reviews on amazon....

Hi guys I have just bought the av sender from Tescos. I have managed to set it up and the picture is ok.
My question is this
Why doesnt my Sky remote work with the sender?
There where no distructions in the box so I have possibly set it up wrong. The sender is connected to Sky box and the receiver connected to second tv.There is a long piece of wire with what appear to be "magic eyes" should they be connected to the sender or receiver???
Thanks in advance  :beer:0 -
I dont know if everyone saware of this. But all the video senders I know of transmit 'composite video' only. Meaning it will never look as good as say connecting sky+ via a decent scart cable to an RGB enabled tv.
(Obviously less important on very small tvs):idea:0 -

I just bought one of these. You need to put a magic eye in front of the remote sensor on your sky box - ie, the little light that comes on when you press buttons on your remote. I stuck mine to the sky box with sellotape, and it works perfectly.0 -
Is it these, does anyone recommend them? I had a type of this product before but the interference was really bad!

I have just had sky installed and rather than run an 'eye' up to the bedroom from the living room the engineer suggested buying a sender from Argos. Unfortunately there are a few too many to chose from.
Has anyone got any experience/reccomendations please. It might be worth forking out for one that will do all the TVs in the house if they are any good.
Have you got communal TV sockets in all the rooms?
I run the sky rf out into the tv aerial socket. And I rewired the roof aerial(disconnected it and now run the sky rf out to the aerial sockets about the house)0 -

I would not buy Technika to be honest, not very good quality.
Something like this will do the job http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thomson-VS480U-Wireless-Control-Satelite/dp/B0019M4G58/ref=dp_cp_ob_ce_title_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1235831709&sr=8-3
I have the Thomson one in the link above & it sends a great picture & sound. If you don't fancy getting it from Amazon, have a look elswhere but I can recommend the Thomson make.

Wireless and Phones and Microwaves work on frequency 2.4ghz.
So if you can imagine when the Video Sender transmits in that freq too you get interference.
You need a video sender that transmits in 5.8ghz.
Or run a TV link for SD and HDMI for HD.0 -

The Thomson product has been out of stock for some time. Will this product do the same thing? It has some very good reviews and is a good price...
