Tax Disc - quick help needed

they didnt say it would come with the log book - but would come when the change has commenced and the new log book comed back - i think i'm best waiting for the log book and then just getting the tax done myself.

Might just try and buy the tax disc without the log - as i did last year (as i bought the car with tax on it - then ran out so i didnt have the reminder.)

So much trouble!!!! Just want to be able to drive to work legally.

Any advice on what i should do (wait for the log book first sounds like the best idea)?

They are telling you porkies. You CANNOT legally have a car (even parked) on a public road without DISPLAYING a valid tax disc.

You should therefore not drive the car until the disc is clearly displayed in the vehicle's window.

Things might be legit with DVLA, thus preventing you receiving a fine from them, but there is a separate criminal offence which simply paying for your vehicle license is not enough.

luckily i have a garage so will keep the car in their until i get the log book and can get the tax sorted.
