Thanks for the reply, but I don't think you understood my situation. Here is my current toilet fixing:
Our set-up is similar to the first pic in that we've got a collar, but it is behind the loo on the floor rather than against the wall. The pipe goes down through the floor rather than out first if you see what I mean. No pic I'm afraid ! Any ideas on what we can do, I'd have thought that a close coupled wc would be impossible ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Not all close-coupled toilet pans have to fit flush with the wall - most of the one's i've seen don't. Although you can get vertical outlet toilets they are unlikely to fit over a big collar like that so you'll probably be limited to horizontal outlet loos and have a 90degree bend in the soil pipe connection. My advice is go for an Ideal Standard or Armitage Shanks toilet you can see detailed diagrams of every piece of sanitaryware at https://www.thebluebook.co.uk including critical dimensions like soil pipe entry point. You can also download CAD files from there if you want so you can find any dimension that you want. I've found the additional information very useful in planning our bathroom.!!!!!!_here wrote: »Our set-up is similar to the first pic in that we've got a collar, but it is behind the loo on the floor rather than against the wall. I found that the cost of going for an Ideal Standard suite is not that much more than if you goto B&Q - though you do need to shop around to find the best deals. So don't be fooled into thinking your getting a better deal at the diy sheds! I'll also add that i have spoken to one plumber whose first question when asking him to come out to give me a quote was "where is the suite coming from" followed by a sigh of relief when i said "ideal standard not b&q"!
