Hi,
Superbreak who deal with lots of hotels in the UK give a 10% discount if you quote 'Defence' when making a booking:
http://www.superbreak.com/index.htm
Also there are a couple of others listed in the Forces Discount Directory
http://www.forcesdiscounts-mod.co.uk/
or try Laterooms who have some pretty cheap hotel deals (no military discount though)

Holiday Inn quote a Government rate on their website which HM Forces can use::

Do matelots still use S1511 ID cards? Have they converted to MOD 90 yet?.

If I am booking anything I tend to do some searching on the internet to see the range of prices. Not all military discounts are what they seem.
A few years ago if you phoned a well known private medical group and asked for mod discount - yes you would get it but that was from a price higher than the civilian equivalent.
I now tend to ring get a quote then ask oh by the way do you do military discount (whilst looking at their web page as well if possible)Mortgage

Just been over there this summer, booked my flights direct with Virgin, saved about £100 per ticket. check the price on last minute or similar then ring them to see if it is cheaper. Disney didn't do much, but sea world / Busche just can't do enough for you. Always ask when you are shopping aswell, we got discounts in the outlets !!0

Morning guys!
My other half is in the Armed Forces & as such qualifies for an account on a website called www.supplydepot.co.uk - they supply well known sports nutrition brands, VMS, Health care products, personal care etc to the Armed Forces ONLY at trade prices.
I have just received my first order & am over the moon, it means that he can get his Maximuscle etc & I can get my Inika make up & Ecover stuff at trade prices! Delivery charges aren't too bad as they're based on the weight of the order.
Hope this helps some of you!:D0
