I'm still an E rating for all households etc. I am a bit baffled as I am 19 / 44 on the list. At 22 you'd expect to be on the cusp of D/E if there was a reasonable spread of usage. Guess there are more energy efficient folk outside the club or more coal and wood users.
So hard to see how I can reduce my consumption anymore without moving or reducing heating. I had three washes this week at the slightly higher temp of 40C. This is rare for me but the weather was good and things were building up.
I've compared with singletons gas / elec and get a 'C'
Singletons in flats I get a 'D'.
So kind of on track...
I have used the heating this week but I am trying for a lean week this week so will avoid heating if I can. I think I've used it more than I needed to.

This is our biggest by far use of the cooker since the oven needs to be at its hottest to get the base crispy (I use pizza stones). I do try to use the oven for other stuff at the same time but the answer would really be to find another way to cook....especially since we have HM pizza at least twice a week - it's DH's comfort food!
PS I'm still an E
There is such thing as a pizza cooker. Here is an example of one here.

I remember one poster raving about her pizza cooker. Maybe you could find out more on the O/S board..
Good Luck

Hi Penny2myName, nice to see you here
You'll get your carbon ranking after 4 full weeks of submitting your details (5 lots in total), so you should know next week. Good luck. Your electricity use looks great compared to mine, that's for sure!
A Fiend For Life I get a bit baffled too and wonder what effect oil fired central heating has on the results, as that would allow for heat & hot water with only a tiny amount of electricity for powering the pump or boiler or whatever. Is anyone here using oil? I'll be able to tell what difference burning logs makes after I move house next month but there's no option on here for open fire either.
Here's to a drier week, and to line drying wherever possible - although having the dehumidifier helps a lot hereI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Mama67, how does it work when you compare with all households, so there's a bigger spread and you still get the per person calculation? I had to do an 'all households' comparison because there were so few households the same as mine and no category to describe the type of house I'm in at the moment
The main thing for me is that our costs aren't going up anymore, always a big help.

rating and ranking appear to be shots in the dark. Our use is very low and we are still ranked 22/45 with a rating now appearing at level B. So 21 households similar to ours must be at level B too. It really is not a very scientific site. Another gripe is re the competition. Where is the winner?

Kittie, they are very helpful at the site, just email them and ask. I emailed in a query and they responded within 24 hours and there's plenty to say that they are open to suggestions for improvements. It's a university study, so probably part of one person's research (or a small representative group). We are part of the small representative group who are taking part, perhaps there aren't sufficient entries to qualify for the prizedraw, hence the time extension. Agreed, they should have the terms and conditions listed somewhere, but the students may not have known that at the time of setting it up.I reserve the right not to spend.

Having tweeked my user details on Imeasure so that now it is all users/ all households rather than specific number of occupants/all households; I am being compared to more households and my rating has risen to a "C".
