Mother of 4 sons and none of them had to be shown either!!!it is a boy thing. They just need to be told that, like other things such as nose picking bodily functions/noises!!! it is inappropriate behaviour in public.

As most of us with sons know little boys don't need any encouragement to find their willies.

As don't much bigger boys :rotfl:

We used to joke with my son that we needn't have spent a fortune on toys at the ELC as he always preferred to play with his own built in plaything! I think that perhaps the OP's daughter has just jumped to conclusions and doesn't realise that it is something that all boys do. Even at 3 though I would tell him that it's not something you do in company!

I suggest you speak to your daughter and try to resolve the problem between you. Find out why she thinks the 9 year old has taught the 3 year old.
If she is just assuming that he has been shown just explain to her its normal and to let her little one know that its ok but its a private thing.
If indeed the older boy has shown his younger cousin a little chat is needed. My 9 year old is doing sex education at school at the moment. I have gone through it with him and he understands what masturbating is and that its private but he is also very pleased with himself with what he has learnt. Your older grandson may think that teaching the younger one is an ok thing to do and is just sharing his knowledge!
My son asked his elder brother (14) if he masturbated lol it didn't go down too well as you can imagine lmao

My 3 year old has always got his hand down his trousers, its natural for them. Although when were out at family or friends or even the shops i have to tell him to take his hand out. But at home you will always find him sat on the chair with his hand down there, i just say "Reece what are you doing" and he normally says back "i'm just fixing my undies".

Sorry, I too assumed the nine-year old had been masturbating in public.

It does seem now on re-reading that the three-year-old's mother has only assumed this.

I would just tell her as far as you know it is nothing to do with the nine-year-old and although normal behaviour the younger boy should be told that it is not for public consumption.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

looks like you've got yourself a right couple of w*nkers! lol

    only kidding.

he's fiddling with himself, nothing more nothing less.

why make it into a bigger thing that it is.

sure tell the kids not in public, but it's hardly like they're playing a game of soggy biscuit! lol

    hi,

i haven't much to add. only that my nephew (6 at the time)was caught several times by his mum playing with himself (sat on the arm of the sofa too!!), when she asked was he ok, he said 'yes i just like the way it makes my balls feel'. :rotfl:

she had to calmly walk into another room while she composed herself then simply asked him to only do it in private. since then there has been no other episodes. so i agree with the other posters who say to not make to huge a deal out of it and just try persuade the child to 'play' in their room. :D

OP - I feel sorry for the 9yo getting the blame when he's probably had nothing to do with the situation.

3 year old boys (I know - I have one lol) don't need an introduction to their winkie...they discover it all by themselves :rotfl:
