  • Hi lucielle, thank you yes everything's fine, though I'm getting slightly depressed at the number of creditors' refusals to accept offers from our DMP. I suppose they pass the debt on and then it's another set of negotiations..

  • We had to write and talk to our creditors several times before they agreed to the proposal - I think they refuse to see if you are trying it on so as long as you keep to the same I&E and keep sending it they have to give in at some point as I said to several if I haven't got it you can't have it.

Hang in there it does take a while.
  • Sorry to hear that lucielle -something will come up soon I'm sure. I'm fatalistic about these jobs....no news for me though - I've been concentrating on my book. I "unblocked" today and wrote 2000 words. It's really flowing and becoming more 3-dimensional! I can see where it's going too, which is such a great feeling. Perhaps I'll have it finished for my Oct 1st self-imposed deadline after all. :D

Thanks inanmess. I'm going to phone CCCS tonight to find out what whether we should keep writing to our creditors, or leave it to them. I really hope it all settles down soon. Meanwhile I'm so proud of the way we're all managing with reduced money. I'm taking out the money budgetted for other things out of our running account and putting it where is can't dribble away, and the feeling of control is amazing!

I am pleased that you are feeling more in control. I must admit in a perverse kind of way I look forward to the bills coming and seeing the amounts coming down.

Make sure you go through Quidco and then you should get some cash back.

If you try Quidco (not saying they will be cheaper) you can get cash back. I went with Churchill via Quidco and I think I got £70 back.
