    Just signed up for RAC.

Hope I did so correctly as went through TopCashBack site although that changed to RAC itself, after clicking continue. Is this to be expected and cashback will arrive eventually?

Does anyone have opinions on which offers the better service?

After making the mistake of having no breakdown cover for a year when I first got my own car 10 years ago, I've been with the AA ever since. I have had to call them out on various occaisions and they have _always_ got me going again, and that's just on the basic cover.

I could clearly save money by switching to the RAC, but I don't want to risk the level of service I get.

I have just had my renewal through and i phoned and said i was considering going to RAC/Green Flag because they were cheaper and he offered me a £15 reduction on my renewal price (not ground breaking i know but prior to MSE i have never questioned the renewal price!)
So just phone up and haggle... you don't have to swap!

If you travel regularly in Europe I would recommend ADAC the German equivalent of AA or RAC cover. You get European cover so you are covered here as well.

I have a English language application pdf but don't see a way to attach it.

Email my username at gmail.com and I can send you it if you want.
    I have a cunning plan!

If anyone is planning a holiday in the US you can get discounts at hotels and restaurants by showing your AA card where they offer discounts to US AAA customers.
