Sounds very similar to the urban legend, quoted on Snopes as having originated in '90 or '91:

How totally freaky is that, I certainly know at the time exactly what happened and clearly remember the taste, texture & colour of the puss like substance. After reading your article it makes me ponder the question: What the hell was it that I consumed?

I must say, I actually like KFC (in a love-of-crap kinda way), and I've never really had any customer service problems, and I've found most of their 'restaurants' (term used extremly loosly) to be clean (although most of the time I get takeaway).

KFC is brill. although not something you'd give your toddler, it's wonderful simply for it's salty deep fried crappiness. we know its bad but we dont care cause its not like we eat it every day is it?

another thing worth thinking about though... is all those stabilisers and special 'extras' you get in popcorn chicken/fried chicken bought in packs in shops. the only 'healthy' althernative is to make it yourself which isnt really too hard. some flour, some cajun spice, some chicken legs and an oven!

also think how you would feel working in kfc with all those greasy fumes all day? Generally i get very good service (goodge street KFC in bloomsbury is brill too) although it has been bred into me since i was tiny to always check quality and quantity when you recieve the food, no matter where you get it.

KFC offer terrible service but the food is great (usually).

One thing I have noticed though is in the Liverpool City Centre KFC's, the gravy has changed. It used to be strong and tasty but is now thick and pale looking with a bad taste.

Has anybody tried complaining to the colonal about all this?
I always wonder how he manages to cook so much chicken. God knows how he finds the time to do those adverts!
