Awful service at KFC

While putting on time yesterday before picking parents up from the airport I decided to get my lunch somewhere, seeing the queue in the nearby supermarket I decided to go to the KFC up the road. It did drive through but as I wanted just to sit down and eat it due to having had a fairly long journey I decided to eat in.

I went into the restaurant and got in the queue, and queued and queued! I was in the queue for 20 mins, no exaggeration either! There was only one person serving on at the tills, although there were 3 tills on the counter. I could see many more staff behind that could have been helping out at the same time as preparing!

When I finally got served, I asked for the meal and was asked what drink would I like. I asked for Pepsi Max. He said sorry run out, we only have normal pepsi and tango left - then as he was pouring my pepsi - they ran out of that also - the drinks machine only had tango, and should also have had pepsi, diet pepsi, pepsi max, sprite!

I eventually got my meal, which I have to say was lovely! When I got up to go I took my rubbish to the bin and could only just squeeze it in, it was jam packed full, the floors were also dirty.

Going back out into the car park to my car the car park was a bigger mess, two bins were overflowing and the excess rubbish was flying round the car park thanks to winds.

I would certainly never go back to that restaurant. When I got home I have tried finding an email address in order to complain. - can anyone help?! I really must complain about this, I was horrified at the state of the spot and of the service!

the kfc near me is also apaulling, you think no pepsi max is bad, mine are lucky if they actually have any CHICKEN, they generally run out of it 4 days of any given week, they need to drop the c on the end of kfc (maybe i could get them done for false advertising. Also if we get a family bucket i have to stand there ofter 15-20 mins wait to make sure they put enough chicken in (they never do, most of the people that work there have to get their toes out to count to 11.)
And as for the gravey (which is the best bit for me) i have seen water with a thicker consistency.
No point asking for manager because out come some 5ft 2 pimple faced 17 year old who failed the interview for burger king (sorry burger king staff but the one near me is also crap)

i think i needed a rant there myself, i adore kfc (when they bother to get it right)

there used to be one in St Albans town centre, the chicken pieces were so poor I`m sure they just picked up the bones from the street each night and recycled them with a bit of new coating stuck on.

That shopis long gone now and to be fair when I go to the one near me, out of the centre the food is very good, Its always busy and you never queue for long.

I must be one of the few who actually likes KFC but you are right their service can sometimes be atrocious. Recently I was given a two piece meal instead of the 3 piece variety meal that I had ordered and paid for ... now pay attention here because this is hard to believe ....

Since they had also given DW the wrong order she took both back to get them replaced. They replaced hers but told her mine was correct. So I went down and explained their mistake ... they assured me they had not made a mistake until I produced the till receipt ... the girl (who to be fair was new) then tried to say it was not her fault and she could not fix it because obviously someone else had got my '3 piece variety meal' and suggested I walk around the restaurant and ask the other diners to swap ... I doubled up in fits of laughter at this (as did several other customers) and immediately asked for the manager. The manager came out but did not see the funny side - she immediately removed the girl from the front desk and gave me my meal ... unfortunately by this time my chips were cold so I had to go back down to replace them as well.

hahahaha! that actually made me laugh out loud! I suspect it she may have been given another 5 minutes training on customer services after making that comment! lol!

There's a KFC just off the motorway near the Trafford Centre (Urmston I think) that sounds equally bad. We've been 2 or 3 times and each time there were no clean tables at all - most had the trays left there and some were clear but clearly not wiped - bits of food and drink spills everywhere. Toilets were disgusting. Waiting for ever to be served - same story, one person on the till also doing drinks and assembling orders, several others in the background doing little. The last time was so bad, we didn't stay to place and order, but sent a written complaint to their head office - needless to say never got a reply.

That KFC in Urmston is the pits - I stopped there once on the way back to my 'week day' lodgings at 9.30pm (they advertised shutting at 10pm I recall) and they said they weren't cooking any more chicken because it was so close to closing time. Asked to speak to the manager and he was more arrogant and insulting than the rest of his staff.....

A letter to HO did nothing as Pennywise says. I avoided them for at least 4 years after that experience. Even so I've not been back to any branch anything like as frequently as I did before that.

The last two KFCs Ive been to have both been awful - one Hartlepool and I cant remember where the other one was. Tables very dirty with food and cartons still one them. At least McDs clears up after everyone. Ive decided I wont be visiting them again - occasionally their chicken is very nice tho. Shame about the place.

er... dudes... what exactly were you expecting? Why anyone would want to eat there in the 1st place...

Do a quick google to see why the company has been in the news recently - still want to eat there?

Don't know about the English / Scottish / Welsh outlets, but the franchise in N.I. is owned by Herbel Restaurants. You can get an complaints form from the outlet itself, but to go to the top, use the details below. All the outlets in the UK are franchise operated, and any complaints would ultimately be dealt with by them. I'm sure someone else can post details of the franchise operators in those areas.

I've had some problems with K.F.C, like slow service and the cashiers not knowing what to do and taking their gentle time.
