I had a quote for £4900 for 6 small windows, 3 sash sliding windows and a door.
Does this seem a good quote?
I have someone else coming round tomorrow so I will post that quote too.

whos the quote with.???
sash windows in upvc can be expensive but they are only expensive if they are true sash windows
just on a par i had safe style and i had 10 windows 2 doors(one with a side decorated fill in side window) and set of patio doors for £4800 and i have had them in two years and i had a broken lock about a month ago and they had changed stylesso they replaced every lock in the house so they would match.
they are a little expensive but there after care is outstanding.
i have used them on three houses in 7 years and they have managed to virtually match the local installers in the area bar a couple of hunderd pounds but thats worth it to me as the local guy may not be there 6 months after installneed to have a lightbulb moment0 -
sounds dear - I'm sure you could get a better deal. I paid 6K for 2 x external doors, 2 x sets of french doors 9 large windows. Plus there was alterations included (ie, 2 windows were made into french doors). Oh and 2 garage windows. All that was fitted and about half of it was leaded glass, double glazed, self-cleaning.0

Got my second quote from another company for £4600
He said he would fit narrow profile windows in the lounge, probably to maximize light. Are these windows any less secure?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

try and find out which profile your windows would be made from we would personally only fit one of 4 of the better profiles on the market rehau, kommerling, profile 22 or veka all these profiles are very much the same and in my opinion the best on the market .make sure your windows will be internally glazed with low"e" units and multi point locking on all opening lights and be sure they are offering you a fire escape window and that the company you choose are fensa registeredif you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction0
