  • Hi everybody

Infamouse Reguarding the Postal Orders can you either take them back to the post-office to be re-issued / re-written or just write your account details on the reverse or somewhere? Maybe you could give them to a friend and ask them to write out a cheque (for each payment) and then you can write your account details on reverse of cheque and attach a note to explain why its a cheque in someon elses name? Sorry just a passing thought, trying to give back a bit of support I have had today. :o

    Thanks

Hi all, you have all been very chatty today! Just go in and caught up with the posts.

Just opened my post and it seems that AA Visa have not charged any interest this month :j Horray!!!

Also, they have said estimated intersted for next month £0.00 :j Double Horray !!

However, due to the interest added over the last few month, I am over the limit and have been charge £12 over limit fee  !!

Is the norm?? Can it be claimed back?

Also, does this mean they have accpeted the DMP as I have not heard anything from them?

Can anyone give any insight into above? Thanks x

You could always write to them and get them to refund it or ask, when I did it with Lloyds I totalled up the different charges and interest and pointed out that had what took me over.

Or you could do it the official way like claiming bank charges back, I believe clamiing off credit cards is not on hold so will be quicker, check out the relevant forum on the board for more details of this approach.

Oh it does look like they have accepted to me!

When I sent my postal orders I wrote the name of who it was to be paid to after the 3 x's and in the covering letter I put in the number of the postal order.
(Except for 3 separate po's to LTSB when I forgot to put the name on but they have acknowledged each payment).
  • Hi

    Bit of an update,

I rang Tax Credits to renew my claim, but they wouldnt tell me if the amount will change :( bit scared now as they have always told me over the phone without me having to ask before now. I was told I had to wait around 2 weeks for info by post.

Quite concerned really as they were going through income details so ive only just informed them that I left self employment last August and have been claiming Incapacity Benefit and circumstances may change again this November as it (IB)gets reviewed. Praying now they wont ask for any money back.

Rang up E-on our gas & electric supplier and told them there was no way I could afford the £133 a month, am struggling with finding £50 a month. Expecting them to be helpful :rotfl: was told they had to increase the amount of monthly collections due to the fact have a debit with them almost £400. Never mattered before they always set up an extra payment.

So I said I am struggling, out of work, only income is Incapacity Benefit and husbands Tax Credits, was told to call the local benefits office and speak to them! I was gobsmacked never heared that one before!

So I called the benefits office who have sent an email to their '3rd party deductions team' and am waiting for them to get in touch.

Does anyone know what happens now?

Really baffled as to where it's all going - surely a faulty gas boiler wouldnt cause it all? We not got a tumble dryer anymore, that packed up end of last winter

Boiler has been fixed £150 (including parts & labour), landlord has paid :T . But also found out been fobbed off with old company landlord was using to service and safety certificate the gas appliances (boiler & fire) as they not done anything, yet charged and issued a certificate

Didnt get to Natwest will wait and see if online application is approved, havent spoken to National Debtline yet (both because of Boiler being repaired he was here over 2 hrs, thought he'd fixed it once, waited round while system running for 15 mins to check it was in order but it packed up again  found it had another fault so had to start over again).

Hubby has done some tidying up and hoovered a bit, he used his works hoover :) All I need now is to find some folders and paperclips so I can tidy up the paperwork and organise it inot folders.

Anyways dogs want their dinner and I am off for my own tea now so back soon.

Thanks again everybody for your support, encouragement, help, shoulders :o

    Hey GH

Never really had must to do with the 3rd party deduction team other then liase with them to make benefit adjustments. Although I am under the impression that they usually only can be applied to people who are on Income Support, JobSeekers Allowance Income Based and Pension Credit.

Let me know what they say when they contact you and I can most likely decipher anything they come up with.
  • Well it's past 8pm and no one from MBNA turned up. What a shock. Mind you even though I knew their postcard advising someone will be calling was just a scare tactic there was a very small niggle in the back of my mind that they might. The phone has been quiet for a change. OH spoke to cap one last night girl was okay but would not take CCCS ref number as said there was nothing she could do with it and they would wait to hear from CCCS, thats the first creditor not to take the ref most have actually asked if we had one.

I bet you baked those cakes for nothing now ;)

I think when we are tired niggles do enter our heads. I know my sleep is easily disturbed.
