No I didn't take you as judegmental at all!
DMPs over time do go very quiet, it is worse in the first few months.
I guess the world is split into those that can avoid a ringing a phone and those who have to answer lol - now if it was my sister on the line I can ignore it. But I have older children in the house so didn't want my daughter picking up the phone to it. I quite enjoy changing numbers, just got a new mobile and its nice to only choose who gets your new number. Control freak warning!!!0 -

The last time I made a proper payment to any of my creditors was at the beginning of April and I've heard nothing from any of them apart from MBNA who set the RMA dogs on to me. I sent a Rottweiler letter to MBNA and the calls have stopped.
Egg have suspended interest and charges already on 2 cc accounts (but they've not written to me to tell me so) Lloyds are doing nothing so far and beneficial finance (HFC) are completely silent.
Formal DMP letters went out last friday. Maybe the schit will hit the fan next week.0 -
Andy the only phone calls I got were in between my minimum payments being due and CCCS contacting them. That was coz I missed minimum payments and sent tokens instead so they rang to ask for the "rest of my minimum payment". As soon as CCCS contacted them I didn't get any more phone calls except for FD accepting the DMP.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

I always found that the schit hit the fan Saturday mornings (this was before this site) so I would spend all weekend worrying.
Lloyds whatever they deal out they won't understand - not sure re HFC.
Rottweiler - I believe, I am pretty good spelling dog names they remind me of my MIL! I thought about you this week they were doing quizzes on BBC site and this weeks was English - I scored appallingly!0 -

Less then 2 days from missing my 1st NR loan payment. They are calling me 4 times a day. My wife keeps answering, will advise them tonight about my DMP.0 -
Hello everyone! I haven't been on here in so long that I had to get a new password as I had forgotten the original one!
I hope everyone is okay? Nothing much has been happening on the creditor front. Everyone has accepted the DMP but two are still slapping on the interest. Apart from that it is scarily quiet and we are getting on with our lives which is rather nice.*Official DMP Mutual Support Club Member No 147**Official DFW Nerd Club Member No 923*I have no idea what I'm talking about!0 -
Glad to hear it, thats what all the effort is about!0

I am not posting this to gloat.
I had a DMP with CCCS of £200 pm and made my final payment in August last year. It was the best feeling being able to telephone them and ask to close my file.
Taking the DMP was the way to go for myself and Mr R as we had gotten into a real mess by our selves and the help of CSA(previous marraige). We would not have gotten to where we are today without the CCCS and their help.
To all that that are just starting one - there is light at the end of the tunnel and dont worry. If any creditors bother you refer them straight to CCCS or chosen help.:j
Those that are about to finish -well done. :T
I would recommended it to anyone who cannot walk straight for running round in circles.
thanks for posting this it is so good to hear how people have got to the end of their DMP - well done:T“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -
Hello all,
I sent a letter to DCA for HFC asking for breakdown of the charges they have added to our account. (we noticed that the outstanding amount stated by HFC was 1000 less than the DCA )
They have sent a letter back sying they are allowed to add contractual collection charges onto our account.
They have also stated that they will issue legal proceedings against us if we do not agree to a charge being put on our house. There prob is not enough equity to put a charge on the house:rolleyes: the fools
So they still have not supplied us with details of how they have wotrked out the charges?? and threatened us for asking for the details - swines
Any one been in the same situation? or know anything that may help?“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -
Hi, am paying off Lloyds and other through CCCS (~3 yrs now!), but Lloyds are still charging interest (~£16 per month) on my current account AND a £12 per month account charge! As I'm only paying this debt off £40 a month it's going to take an age to clear!!
Anyone had any luck getting the swines at Lloyds to cease charges/charges while in a DMP??0
