Thta's weird Trev - I've pulled 300 euro out on many occasions in Spain and Greece (always thought it was £250 worth, but I rarely read the instructions...).0

In Italy last month, I was limited to €300 per day. I assume that was the rule of the bank owning the ATM, not Nationwide.
I wonder if each country's banks apply their own limit? Or maybe each bank applies its own limit, even within a country? Anyone found limits different at two banks within the same country, using the same card?0 -
was in algarve 2 weeks ago and the limit was 200 euros on all the ATMs using the nationwide flex card !!it almost makes life worth living0

I get 300 Euro's a day in Spain, no problem.;)
No charges at all.0 -
Interesting. I was told it is £300 per day or equivalent from Nationwide - it used to be £500 a few years back but dropped. I only go to Europe and have had the problem of only getting €200 from an ATM in the Algarve, but I then just use another ATM. We have a joint account and take two cards but have been refused when trying to withdraw more than £300 from our account.

Why would you need so much money for 1 day?0

Car hire, we get a great deal when paying in cash and also for ciggies, again better deals sometimes for cash.

Using a Nationwide card there are no fees to pay, unlike other banks etc. The rate you get is the full bank exchange rate on the day, NOT the tourist rate.
