These auctions were just last summer
1] Restaurant in Broadstairs. A family bought it and opened a restaurant in March 2008: http://www.thebaysidebrasserie.co.uk/

Agents said it'd be worth about £230k for the business and £185k for the flat over it.
2] House on a corner with shop unit on ground floor

When the programme went back, he already had a buyer for it. He had been advised to just sell it on by his partner. They'd put it on at £300k and a beautician had offered £297k. Two agents priced it at £275k and £275-280k.

The original owner had tried to sell it, but it had fallen through as there was some subsidence (drainage that had been fixed) so their buyer couldn't get a mortgage and pulled out, so the original owner auctioned it.
The floors were wonky/sloping.
When the programme revisited them they said they'd spent £10k including solicitor fees and had done the work themselves. They did a lot of tarting up and it's now for sale.
The two agents said £132,950 and £132-135k. They've gone with that 2nd agent, but with a higher price:

And I am one of them!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
