Steam cleaner - worth the money?

Anyone own a steam cleaner? Are they all they're cracked up to be? (the ads just sound too good to be true). I am thinking along the lines of the £40 ones rather than the £300 ones, needless to say!

The fact that yoiu have dragged up a 6 year old thread and have only just joined plus you are promoting a website makes me wonder about your intentions.
