    Hello Piglet, hello everyone

Thanks all of you for keeping an eye on me. Busy day yesterday and up early as I have a lot to do before I catch my train today.

Piggies have been good as gold...even when vet nurse cut their toenails...and are taking their medicine well. No more cases so looks like the infection has been caught early.:T

Hand was very painful yesterday...so a good rest on the train is in order.Cleaners cam yesterday and now at least I have a clen bed...and some clean clothes to wear:D

Off for shower, hand massage etc and then to make sure piggies are all fed and watered sufficiently for the next 24 hours.

Wow I'm looking forward to my excellent adventre...will let you kknow how it went later this weekend.

    Hugs to all

    Helloo everyone

Well an up and down weekend actually...but a great change from being housebound and as they say...a change is as good as a rest!

The taxi accidentally deleted the booking to take me to the station.. .which meant a mad dash at the last minute.. ...but did catch the train so reached Bath friday lunchtime. Spent lunch/afternoon with mum and dad showing them how well I'm coping with only one hand/arm and how there is no need for them to come down and look after me  ;)

Perhaps the saddest note of the last couple of days was the Meatloaf concert. Bat out of Hell came out when I was doing my A levels and it was one of our anthems at the time. I still play it as part of my piano repertoire when I'm playing in public (depending upon the musical taste of the audience) so I was really looking forward to hearing the powerful voice of Meatloaf belt it out just one more time. Alas, maybe it wasthe op he had a few years back for nodules on the vocal chords....but as his voice tired through the set, he increasingly sang off key and sometimes he could hardly get a sound out.

Most of the stuff he played was from later albums, and unfortunately by the time he reached the finale 90 mins later, he was in a bad way. So, he just about carried off Paradise by the Dashboard Light..(great to hear...my fave)..which had the whole crowd dancing and singing every word along with him ~(plus a great female vocalist duetting with him)....but then "I'd do anything for Love" and finally "Bat out of Hell"...were so off key and weak, it was painful. Poor bloke...I felt so sad for him...he must have felt so frustrated.

The following day Imet up with 4 old schoolfriends...who 30 years on haven't changed a bit! It was really great to catch up with them all.....and one of my ex boyfriends have offered to come and help me while I'm still one-handed.;) :D (with what....I'm not sure yet... ...no not THAT....packing/moving etc.....no smut on this thread please :p )

So a great pub lunch with them all, then back on the train....where I fell asleep and missed my stop at Reading. :o Ended up in London, so ran to next platform and hopped on train back again, just missing the ticket collector:D .

Was still back in time to watch Dr Who....oh my goodness...what a finale...and nope, my sister didn't get it right at all!!

So now back home...got taken food shopping this morning by my dependable girlfriend...she really is an :A Piggies got dosed this lunchtime...they really are being very good boys and girls with the vet nurse...lovely girl...she is brill at giving them their medicine.:T

And hopefully someone is turning uplater to cook me a decent meal :j (and cut it up for me so I can eat it :rotfl: )....but we'll wait and see.

So must stop now, need to do more exercises...but should be back on later tonite.

Hugs to all and hope you're all having a good weekend despite the carp weather. (I even gave the central heating a burst earlier as I was so cold)

    Bye for now
    Love
