Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
Took the mothership on her first bootsing trip experience today- we went to Merry Hill and I had to promise her a whistle stop tour of the Debenhams sale first:rolleyes:

Not much exciting to report- S&G, sanctuary etc shelves were a bit messy, so we were checking SELs against exact product name. Picked up a sanctuary bag (only one), gold, filled with the orange lidded regular range. SEL said £5, but barcode didn't match and scanned at £20:mad:

Not to be outdone, we found some Essential aromatherapy mini gift packs (3 minis) for £1.13 and some bubble bath of the same range for £1 and hand cream for 50p. Mum got some sanctuary body oil stuff reduced to 1.99, but it had no lid, so not good as a gift and an E Macphearson shower massage thing reduced to 1.49. I have one of these and you can really feel it working

Then I bought two more J Kidd emery boards for the 500 points (took a while to explain the logic to mum:rotfl: ) and found some Johnsons toddler grip soap reduced to 25p, so got some for godson

It transpires that Mum snapped her advantage card 2!!! years ago and has never asked for a replacement:eek: so I got all the points..then spent them on some nail clippers as I had wrecked mine making jewellery

Anyhow Mum is a convert and is already planning her next boots trip (poor dad)

Anyhow, I try to thank as many people as possible on this thread, but can I just say a huuuuge thankyou to everyone who contributes as I would never have discovered this bootsing lark without you guys!!

Hi Guys, Ive solved the mystery of the fragrance of Jam sessions.I asked my friend who works for Bliss the sister company of Soap and Glory. After consulting with the powers that be.She said it should smell of the Caribbean?????and the name Jam, is in ( a band jamming i.e making music, and not the type you eat. That told me:)

Im from the Caribbean ,it doesnt smell like this :rotfl: but didnt want to annoy her, as the free Bliss stuff may stop finding its way to me.

thanks, but after reading the bottle (seems like such a simple idea.. why didnt I think of it before  lol) it does say blueberry on the label, so I apologise to who ever it was said it was blueberrys! (still doesnt smell like them to me though pmsl!) :D

My 2 littlies are in the bath now ( OH is here too so no lone bathing ) & I read the label about reggae jamming blueberry lark but it's JAM as in Strawberry to me & I'm buying no other definition :rotfl:
Still don't like it, am tempted to crack open the other S&G washes to trial those too.

Sorry hijacking your post but I tried today to get some this morning but noticed that on some the barcode had been removed and the number was hand wriiten on, do you think they had removed the old code ending 774 and added the new code to match those already on the shelf, its the first time I have seen a manual barcode numbering in boots

No tampered barcodes that I saw yesterday however my store is pants at reducing stock compared to other stores mentiuoned on here so it may only be a matter of time.

No Berry Bag AM, the old one not even out only the design from the H&B mag now & full price too( prefer the old one )
If I saw just the 1 & wanted it myself I'm sure I'd still offer to AM first... how obsessional this bag has become.

has anyone used the new liplicious lip gloss? Is it as sticky as the old one? I found the old one too sticky but thought I might try the new one - especially as I would get 400 points:rotfl:

I grew to really hate the old Liplicious glosses, but bought one of the new ones on Friday night (think it's called Angel Cake, kinda a glittery nude colour) and it's not sticky at all :)

Johnson's Baby lotion - my sister uses it and she is allergic to everything under the sun which makes birthdays difficult!

    Got bodyform + tin @ 99p (shelf marked £1.49)
    6 Sanctuary green soaps £3.00 reduced to 99p and 3 for 2
UG conditioner (£2 off voucher and 1/2 price atm)
Total £5.04 and another £2 hair voucher

SA really nice and thought the UG was great bargain which she was going to try herself!!!! I was happy to tell her how. She said she hardly ever got time to check the atm, but was going to start!

I also overheard the security man telling a SA that she can ask for id if she doesn't think the boots card belongs to the person buying, so all those with multiple cards be warned!
  • Quick question for those of you who have used the No7 Glossy Locks spray (think that's what it's called - the sun protection spray stuff :D) - What is it like on your hair? Does it weigh it down at all?

Will check back later, must go make dinner quickly in time for a hour with Mr Clarkson, Mr May and Mr Hammond *drooling in anticipation*

I guess this could be helpful if you were buying with points but just using it to gain points one could argue you are keeping all sales on 1 card to avoid small amounts over several cards.

I've yet to gain a till spit to do the UG glitch, clean forgot yesterday, spent £3.odd

I used it this month.. (after the 6 for 50p glitch last year or year before!! had loads of it but was saving it for...??? a rainy day :D ) and it is really nice... used it a couple of times on dry hair and felt nice, wasnt too heavy, but usually used it after getting out of the pool, dripping wet.. ala Bo Derek (I wish) stylee! and it left my hair feeling really great and was lovely after washing it out too! HTH ...:D
