Victor, is there any further update with this? Did you get a satisfactory reply to your complaint? Has the extension remained?0

ok so if 4 houses rain/waste water is coming thru your drains, surly if the drains need replacing they should contribute to the replacement right?, otherwise they can sort their own downpipes??, thanks! No one said it was gonna be easy!0

You need to check the deeds and covenants for your house. You bought the house subject to the covenants that go with it.
You could look at it another way, if you block up the drain the overflow will be onto your property as the drains will have a fall towards the outlet. This could cause damp on your property which would be much more serious.
I understand you are upset with your neighbour but taking action that he can take legal measures against you is not a solution.
If it was me I would put a fence up blocking off his access to most of the yard but leaving him a passageway to the back gate, you could also put a gate at your end so you can get access to the back gate.
I would also be making an absolute pain of myself with the council as there are rules to cover extensions that your neighbour seems to have just ignored.0 -

See your point Ulfar, seems i will be forking out for 4 neighbours draining into my pipes!
Don't know what you mean about access,as the neighbour is the one with access into the back of our houses not me......!
ThanksNo one said it was gonna be easy!0 -
I was a bit confused when posting as I was reading multiple threads at the same time as chris_m has pointed out that part was for another thread.0
