  • Anything happened?

With it being a PAYG phone that your on im guessing it might be a bit different to the contracts that were refunded mainly due to them probably not knowing what kind of bills they were racking up! At least you can check your balence;) (this is why I prefer PAYG!) I have noticed 'some' CS teams to put them first than the PAYG users. I was offered a £2 refund for calls that kept cutting off......It cost me nearly that to ring CS!!

am hoping o2 will see no data has passed through on the connect if it is just a straight attempt from o2 to connect and not a 3rd party connecting via.

if they see on the account that it all connections and no data transfer then surely they would see what the problem was. with me having all the sttings ont he phone correctly set its really baffled me. how can o2 over-ride my personnal protection and connection set-up? surely they cant so it has to be a bug with the phone.

as for a virus it is certainly possible but my sister only knows how to dial a number and answer a call, also she not to bad at texting. but as for her connecting it to internet/uploading/downling etc i very much doubt it. very little was on the phone when i got it form her no added apps/games since she had it, no internt/wap use at all.

maybe even o2 know what the problem is as im clealry no the only one withthe issue. it happening on orange as well as o2 i figure its the phone with the issue so wouldnt be surprised if o2 told me to go do one elsewhere as im a low user (£10 month but have been with them since around genie and then when o2/bt or whatever they called themselves back them).

it is only £7 so no massive heartache and my little girl didnt get lost fortunately, so really the only bummer from it all was the money, but it is/was friday the 13th

damn thing just connected 3 times in about as many seconds!!
  • right, just deleted their access point haha

let see them try now. back in 10 mins less with an update then im off to bed to lie there all night awake listening to digital tones of a nokia n80 whilst grinning at the fact i have no more credit for them take from me and athe fact ill have a flat battery by time the sun rises so i can finally get to sleep. :):)

  • deleted all o2 access points and its still trying a connection but with no access point it just aborts the attempted connection as it has nothing to connect to.

haha maybe o2 will listen when i tell them ive deleted their access points saving me £££'s :j

half way their in respect of it not costing me anything now (well hopefully, unless o2 just send out there settings and automatically saves them)

any good tips/bargains on lump/sledgehammers any where? :rotfl::rotfl:

Try giving O2 a ring or going in Store... Maybe they can be some help...

  • Are you sure your sister didn't set up the email client on the phone to auto-connect every so many minutes? Or the email client could be setup as an IMAP connection where it will connect to the web whenever the mail server requests the phone to connect (usually when there is a mail waiting). I am quite sure it is the email client on the phone trying to download emails.

Try deleting all the email accounts from the phone.

Hope you get it sorted anyway (without resorting to the mallet!)
