This may well have been asked a billion times, but the vouchers you get through the clubcard statement including £4 off £30 or £3 off £30, are they valid on petrol? the back of it, it only says excluding esso fuels, logic would say that there must be a reason for this if they exclude all petrols, but as it just states esso fuels, wouldn't it mean they are valid for normal fuels?0

Hey guys
I see the Merlin Annual pass clubcard deals token/voucher now has the name of the clubcard owner on it, they never did before, can they still be used by somebody else to get an Annual pass?
My Mum collects loads of clubcard vouchers and has kindly got me a Merlin Annual pass voucher through Tesco Clubcard but it has her name on it, to make matters worse her surname is different to mine through re-marriage.
Any ideas? can i still use it?
Cheers

I am annoyingly 50p short for some Thorpe Park tokens, but my MIL has offered me a voucher to make it up.
Would that be accepted or is it a big no-no? (was going to order online)
Thanks!
when you order online you tick something to confirm that all the vouchers are yours.
i haven't tried combining, but i once bought vouchers off ebay. i ordered my annual pass and everything seemed to go okay, i got the confirmation email etc.
the voucher didn't arrive and when i checked my order had been cancelled by tesco, and the vouchers credited back to the ebay seller's account. i had to wait until they got their next mailing, for them to buy me a pass and post it to me. that was before the passes had a name on.
you can try getting your token, good luck'bad mothers club' member 13

i got my pass at alton towers this year, and the till staff wrote the surname on my voucher onto the barcoded ticket for me to take to the annual pass office. they were checking that the tesco vouchers matched up with the people who went into the annual pass office.
you could always put the wrong name on your merlin pass? they take your photo so it has to have the correct photo for the person who will be using it, but as far as i am aware you could make up anything for the name on the card.'bad mothers club' member 13

Please could someone help me with tesco vouchers/points. I am new to tesco just got my clubcard through this week, I never shop there but i have been reading on here about the deals etc and as I want to take my 2 grandchildren to Florida in 2010 I am going to save point/vouchers to help a little but i have no idea on what is what!!!
Could someone explain to me about points/vouchers. I do know that if i start to shop at tesco ( i will be doing it online) i can put in codes which i see on here to get extra points but what happens when I have built up a lot of points and want to use them towards a holiday??? How does it work? Sorry if I seem a bit simple but everyone on here seems really clued up on points etc and i feel really out of it. Are there some do's and dont's are there extra ways of getting points. If i buy vouchers off ebay how will this work how do i get them on my points??
Hope someone can help x0 -

Well, it did accept it online (don't remember having to tick anything?) and I've had the email, but i suppose i'll just have to wait and see...
I'm not after a pass, just tokens for a day visit, so i don't know if they have a name on.
Fingers crossed...0 -
I'm sure I used to be able to see the deal vouchers I'd ordered on my tesco account but can't seem to find this now. Have they removed this function or can someone please direct me to the right place.
Thanks
EDIT:
Found it!
(FYI the details are on 'my account' from the grocery site not the Deals site)Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!0 -
freckles it probably doesn't matter of day tokens have a name on, it's just the passes that they seemed to check up on. i have used day passes for variuos friends of my son before now without anybody checking - and lots of families have members with different surnames anyway. fingers crossed for you

Thanks for the Info
I know why they have put names on them now, to try and stop people selling them, but there is plenty of reasons why the surnames wouldnt match between close family members, through re-marriage etc, not really fair on those people who want to get passes for there family, or want to just give them away as a gift.0
