...and the Cien baby wipes are really good quality too - my OH says she prefers them to pampers and huggies ones - and they have been on at 79p at our local Lidl :j

  • We really like Lidl, and in particular the following:

OLIVE OIL - extra virgin is really good tasting, and one of the cheapest you can buy!

Toothpaste - an unusual flavour ('unusual' does NOT mean 'nasty' in this context) herby and liquorice rather than mint. Dirt cheap and so effective that OH's dentist asked him what he'd been using!

Peanut-Choco bars - taste just like Snickers for about half the price.

    Washing powder.

Fresh chickens - almost as good as M & S and about half the price (a regular purchase - but we bought the M & S ones last week when they were half price).

I think that's it. Best buy in Netto - Red Bull only 69p, and DELICIOUS Gallo White Californian wine for £2.99. No named grape, but tastes like at least twice the price. :)
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).

soft drinks, although they've stopped doing the best one which was like Sprite or 7-up (no artificial sweeteners etc) but about 39p for 2lt

Yes, It is a real shame about them stop doing the 2lt "Lemon". Although there does still seem to be the 6 pack of 500cc. Better than Sprite in my opinion, and a much better price.

I love the Lidl Coffee flavour chocolate. It's half white choc and half milk - fab!!

Also Love Lidl's jams and their smoked cheese.

I know many people who never shop in Lidl's because they are too snotty. It's their loss, they don't know what they are missing.

personally we think the netto cheap brown bread (used to be 19p but think gone up now!) is better than the brand names or other supermarket own brands. my dh only used to eat heinz beans but has cheap ones now, although asda own brand slightly cheaper than netto now i think - u can always add barbecue sauce to make them slightly better!
