Peppermint teabags are good value for 49p - sometimes they are half price.

Oh, and those German biscuits (choccie sandwich ones) are to die for

I forgot about that. If these are the ones in the white bags for £1.29, I take regular orders at work for the hazelnut version!

Since we are getting nearer Christmas I have to mention their Stollen (spelling?). It is fanatstic and last year was twice as large and a third of the price of Sainsbury's version.

A new Aldi is being built near my work. I have never had the chance to shop at Aldi, any good buys?

Yes! that was one of the things I had in mind when I mentioned xmas products, as well as Panettone ... and yes you spelt it right apart from the " over the o which I have no idea how to do in these posts LOL! ;)

And these are the genuine products, not the imitations you find in Tesco et al :D

Theres an Aldi's round the corner from here. Some of the food is good but my opinion of it is the same as it is for Lidl's (see the Lidl's thread). Some of the lines are good though.

I buy scampi, which is lovely, fruit juice and the sausages which are something like 90% meat. I've had the scotch eggs which somebody else has mentioned and they were great.
