I would have thought you'd be ok - fresh sheets shouldn't need as much cooking as the ordinary dried ones - it might go a bit soggy if you cook it for a lond as you normally do

I've always used them straight from the packet even when they say you should precook - too much of a faff and they've never been al dente.

There's a whole thread of recipes here - take you pick :)

I'll merge this later to keep ideas together.

I used to be scared of making lasagne, but recently realised it is actually quite easy when you look at each of the stages separately. The thing is that it does take a bit of time, because you make a mince sauce and a cheesy sauce, then layer it all up before baking it in the oven, so it isn't something I would start making when I get home from work.

If you are home all day, I would recommend starting it in the morning or early afternoon, getting it layered up by sometime in the afternoon and shoving it in the oven just as your hubby gets in - it only takes about 20-30 mins for the pasta to cook through, so just enough time for him to get relaxed and hungry!

In fact, why not make enough mince and sauce for 2 lasagnes, and make one in a foil baking tray which can go into the freezer un-baked for a home made instant meal?
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!
  • Try slow cooked lasangne - use any recipe you fancy and pop it in the slow cooker in the morning. Come tea time it will be satisfying and you wont have slaved at the stove all afternoon.

  • This is the recipe I use http://utterlyrecipes.com/recipes/simple-lasagna-recipe/

I double the cheese for a creamier Lasagne, but it's very easy to make.

I recommend Fresh Lasagne Sheets as they don;t soak up so much liquid that it goes soggy!!

Everyone LOVES my Lasagne, I make it whenever I have people over for dinner!!
