Ok cool tyvm to you all , again helpful as ever and quick to boot. I can thank you guys enough your making this a hell of a lot easier for me. I really do appreciate it.

Another BC question that jumps to mind, im not working at the moment, if i get a job before my bankrupcy end, am i likley to have to pay something from my salary to the OE, even if I dont pay now due to being on benefits?

You will have to fill in another I&E form when you tell them about your job, but you'll only have to pay anything if you have enough surplus.

Only figures for my loans are the amounts I initially borrowed, dont know what they are with costs ect. Thats the number I put down on my SoA (which was why I was out by so much... but it is a "sensible" figure to put as it's not a complete guess!

You may have to pay an IPA if your income is greater than reasonable expenditure + £99 BUT in getting a job your expenditure will presumably go up as well (transport costs, dry cleaning?, etc etc) so just because you get a job it's not guaranteed that you'll have to pay.

  • 3. I think I may of lost paperwork that will be needed for BC, for example 2 1/2 years ago i was paying mortgage on a joint property that didnt sell and I just signed the whole property over to my ex girlfriend without getting any of the equity ect.

    What should I do???[/quote]

This is the bit of your post that concerns me the most. How much equity was there in the house when you signed it over? The OR will investigate the transfer of the property and will want to know about this asset that you have effectively given away.

not a lot, as my previous partner invested a lot from the sale of her house when we bought a property together, the reason I signed it over was because i was paying £600 mortgage on the property and nearly £700 rent where I was living, it just wasnt cost effective as the amount I would have got would have been about £2000ish and I spent that in mortgage repayments.

OMG Ive just realised this is where my debt problems started, talk about denial. I was getting into debt paying a mortgage and the rent, I got a loan to top up my dwindling finances, then my car died and because it was a 50mile round trip to work I got another loan then i became ill and it just all spiralled out of control, omg I just had a revelation!!!!!!

I just wanted to make you aware that you will need to disclose this to the OR and they may investigate. I guess that in the worst case scenario they could still seek to realise the £2k that was your share of the equity and there would be implications for your ex-partner so might be best to check with her whether she could pay the £2k if asked to

    Ok another question

Assetts, do I have to to a comprehensive list in minute detail for example I own about 30 DVD films, and I have an electric drill that cost £25 from BandQ? what about my PC its two years old and its sale value is about £100??

What about my dog, shes a pedegree and both my partner and I paid for her as a birthday present for me!!!!

HO MY this is very complicated.

Nope, none of those will be of any interest to the OR as resale value wouldn't be worth the collection fee etc.

They are really only interested if you have antiques, works of art, large (new) plasma tele's etc ... things that would fetch a high price.
