Hi again,
more advise needed im afraid. Ive just dug out my bills ect to start compiling for my CCCS interview, and for my SOA, but I dont have accurate figures because
1. I havent payed towards these bills/debts in over 18months
2. I dont have paperwork for some of the debts (final amounts ect) as I moved and stupidly didnt tell those chasing me where I moved too, and they havent found me yet!!!!
3. I think I may of lost paperwork that will be needed for BC, for example 2 1/2 years ago i was paying mortgage on a joint property that didnt sell and I just signed the whole property over to my ex girlfriend without getting any of the equity ect.
What should I do???

You could contact creditors to obtain figures if your not sure.....otherwise an estimate would be fineWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Thanks again phil, do any estimates need paperwork to back them up, another example is a mobile phone contract I got out in my name for my step son (i know it was stupid) he didnt pay me I didnt pay them, I have a invoice with account details on but no final figure I dont think i could guess, Im worried about phoning them incase they start hounding me."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. As Phil says if you can get hold of the accurate figures then great.. I put "best guesses" down for some of mine as had had no contact (been avoiding) a few of my creditors and they didn't have my address.
I think it makes the OR's job easier the more accurate and more paperwork you have but they can get hold of statements, balances etc from the creditors if they need them.:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -

Did you indicate that a figure was a best guess for example Vodaphone £150 (estimated).???
Suppose the easier it is for the OR, the better, but due to my illness its not easy to deal with."Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Yeah mark the figures as estimated and explain to the OR when you have your interview...with your illness & circumstances they will understand and as waspy said be able to get more accurate figures themselvesWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

Yep, that's exactly what I did
.. just put est. next to the value.
When I had the interview I told the OR that I didn't have accurate numbers as had no upto date paperwork and he was fine.
(as it happened i'd mis judged my loan by about £7k  ):hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
I was pretty much the same as you....head in sand & didnt really bother reading statements etc after i'd been finished by work..so some creditors I only had a rough idea of how much I owed...I forgot a couple of creditors as well.....the OR easily sorted I estimated in all I owed various creditors £11,000 I was out by £500!We all die. it cant matter that much can it, BR is exactly that..........bankrupt
if HSBC are owed £5K or £10k, the chances are they wont get any more from a BR's estate
and they will supply the OR with details anyway, just in case.0 -
Ok cool tyvm to you all , again helpful as ever and quick to boot. I can thank you guys enough your making this a hell of a lot easier for me. I really do appreciate it.
Only figures for my loans are the amounts I initially borrowed, dont know what they are with costs ect.
Another BC question that jumps to mind, im not working at the moment, if i get a job before my bankrupcy end, am i likley to have to pay something from my salary to the OE, even if I dont pay now due to being on benefits?"Well, that sounds like a pretty good deal. But I think I got a better one. How about I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call"

Hi shadowdragon,
Yes, best guesstimates will be fine. When the OR writes to your creditors they will receive a form to fill in with the exact amount owing.
Mine were pretty accurate, however, Mr P's were quite a different story! But it made no difference at all to the ORAccept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
