So basically all customers benefit apart from new contract customers! This seems unfair to me.

So let me be clear on this.

I dig out my free SIM that I ordered a while back. I top up by £5, which I believe is the minimum possible. I then get 50 cross-net minutes for 3 months, giving a total of 150 minutes.

No I don't think so. The T&Cs say:

"To receive an O2 Treat customers must have maintained an average spend (or top up in the case of Pay & Go customers) in excess of £10 per month over the previous 3 months on a consumer tariff currently available from O2.

If you have a 3 month average spend below £10 but have been an O2 Pay & Go customer for more than 6 months, you will need to top up £10 before the 27th of the month to become eligible for an O2 Treat for one month in the following month."

These are the O2 Treat T%C you are quoting.

The O2 Joining Treats T%C apply in this case as you will see the offer doesnt start until the 29/10/05.Once you have made a top up of £10 after that date you qualify.

Thanks for that although I was making the point that it's £10 not £5 required to topup which I think is the case. Still quoted the wrong T&Cs though! :-)

I'm not sure what the minimum top-up you can make is - but I thought it was £5.
  • I'm reasonably sure it's £10 now.

Yes, you're right. Sorry! Even with that, it's a very good deal for someone who wants to make Xnet calls.

Do you have to top £10 once or every month to get the free bolt on tariffs

You have to have topped up at least once by a minimum of £10,and you have to opt in to an eligible bolt on or between 29/10/05 and 10/1/06.
