one of my auctions was buy it now now its gots bids of more than what it was on buy it now (confussed) i ask the buyer if i ended the auction at that price will she be willing to pay straight away paypal. she said i can only pay next wednsday when my auction states 3 days for payment.

Offer it to the second bidder if they can pay now?
In effect you are cancelling the highest bidders bid as they can't meet the terms of the auction.
Agree it's crazy when people do "buy it now" and don't pay straight away. What's the point?0 -
No matter what you say in your auction a bidder has 7 days to make a payment0

Nope, it's not just you.
Lately, i have had quite a few buyers that haven't paid after 1 week & i've had no kind of communication at all from them telling me the payment will be late.
I've even had Paypal 'echeque' payment that only cleared after 3 weeks!
Maybe next time you do a buy it now, add the 'immediate payment' option. (Which is available if you have a credit card on file).0 -
i had someone use buy it now 7 days ago on a £100 item, i sent a reminder on day 3 and day 6 and opened an unpaid item dispute today - and has this quick response:
"Very sory for the late reply, would it be possible to mutually withdraw this transaction as i purchased
this item by mistake.
Unfortunately i did not want to buy this item and bought it mistakenly
I hope
you understand and this doesn't cause inconvienence or hardship.
However i dont want to waste each
others time therefore iam willing to pay for this item even though i dont want it,but would prefer
it if we could mutually close this transaction.
Sorry for any inconvience caused
Kind Regards"
she doesn't want to waste my time??? too late for that!0 -

When using a 'Buy It Now' with Paypal only, we always use the 'Immediate Payment Required' option.0

i would put immediate payment for a buy it now if it was paypal only but i often have the best offer option and i also accept bank transfer, postal orders and cheques.0

I do the same now, I was getting fed up with the 'clik happy' slow buyers. I may loose a buyer or two along the way but wow it's so simple. I usually refund my postage discount through paypal when they purchase more than one item. I'm very happy with this now as I don't have time for people to waste it.0
