Well a tyax that tax's everyone not just the motorist! Easy target over and over again!
    Gordon Browns money train!
Higher fuel price affects the price of everything you buy!
Instead of another tax why not reduce our outlay, Iraq and afganistan spring to mind! Or giving countless millions to african countries that hate our bloody guts!

The *Goverment* set up this petition?? And no doubt they'll *fiddle the figures* so it shows no one is bothered about the obscene costs of fuel!!! Dubai and Saudi must be laughing behind their hands at all this ***p we Brits are putting up with...they only pay about 8p a gallon!!!

Raise tax on alchohol, cigarettes, etc etc, stop paying benefits to the people who just cant be bothered to work, why is it the motorists have to suffer ?, my Dad who is a pensioner can barely afford to run his car anymore with the rising fuel prices, he had to go to hospital the other day and took the bus, that cost him £5.00 to go 6 miles !!!, so public transport is also an expensive option.

That bit below is wrong it isnt the government that has set up the petition they mealy allow people to host them there

"bring fuel prices back to an acceptable level"

The person who started the petition doesn't define what a acceptable level is.

The petitions are mealy a exercise on the government to appease voters, it rarely if at all does any good. The price of fuel of recent months has nothing to do with the government, more to do with supply and demand and greedy speculators

Why did he not use his free bus pass, provided by this same government

There could be a problem of course if the appointment was before 0930, but would Patient Choice, provided by this same government, not cover that as well?

the problem with the english people more so in the UK is they are damn lazy, and sit back and take everything that they are not happy with. im not saying i agree with you on your post or not but i do think that people need to start putting the action speaks louder than words theory into practice. end of rant.

This petition, is not set up by the government. The government set up the website so people can set up petitions on line and this has been submitted by a member of the public. The good thing for the government with e petitions is that they don't have the embarresment of national or international news when a march reaches downing street with a petition signed by a million people. Thus an other form of spin to keep the minions quiet!.. I don't think that any petition I have ever signed on line has ever made one bit of difference to anything. E petions are a con!

Every one should email their MP to lobby for a reduction in fuel tax. If we all did this then someone may listen and take notice.
if i had known then what i know now
