Government Petrol Price Petition

  • Cities should introduce trams and trains should be used more often.. Cars and Planes are killing the environment.. We should be able to ride a bike to work but the roads are not friendly for cyclists either because of traffic. I don't see a problem with the price of petrol.. Fingers crossed it will work as a deterrent to those killing our planet.

And what tax would you like to rise to make up the shortfall?
if the paracite MP's stopped grabbing our taxes for there expences and stopped wasting our money on a pointless war that was all about oil then there would not be a shortfall.

i live in Stevenage and we have got cycle tracks that run by the side of all the major roads in the town and you still have idiot cyclists riding on the roads instead of the cycle tracks and then they moan about the roads being too busy and not enough is done for the cyclists,
and this country is one of the lowest poluters and we are getting hit the hardest because our government wants to look good in the eyes of the world.
i dont buy all this rubbish about global warming there are too many agency involved in this and they are looking after there own jobs so they come up with this argument all the time.

This is a genuine petition and has 250+K signatories, a thread has been going for some time, here's the link:

but as you can see from one of the posts - Gordon Brown ordered it to be removed. This is unconfirmed.

I agree, but even more so, a nanny state. However, knowing of GB's tantrums if things don't go his way, nothing surprises me any more.

The only way to make an impression to the goverment is not to buy petrol at all and walk........ and who is going to do that?

An old friend of mine told me that in the 60s or 70s the goverment tried to raise the price of beer in pubs, people were so outrage they still went to the pub but noone would buy any beer or sprirts, only pop or juice.................It didnt take long for them to dropped the prices back again.
    Money talks B******t walks.
