Might be that it's new stock. The tins I managed to get have an expiry date of end Sept 080 -
It says on the tin (Tesco Bean sprouts in water NEW) end date Oct 08, yet only just seen them in Tesco, so either not a long lasting product or they shifting them.
Should imagine they compliment the cheap tins of curry sauce...8pence.0 -

Not 10p, but Gallo's organic risotto rice was 74p for a 500g pack in local Tesco today, similar price to Tesco's own non-organic one ( the rest of the Gallo range was much dearer and I checked on Ocado online where price for same pack is £1.89 ). Sell by dates were very long ( 2011 ). Had it tonight and it made a lovely risotto.0

Cheddar and onion flavoured Smash was 10p in our Tesco today. 107g bag bbe jul 2009. Can't vouch for the taste as I've never tried it!!0

Was about to lob the 1kg pack of "Market value" carrots (well, they are cheaper than the loose ones!) into my basket for around the 58p mark, when I spotted the 1.5 kg Value pack at the top of the display was marked up at 10p.
As this is 50% more carrots for less than 20% of the price I asked the assistant who confirmed it was correct. He seemed to think they may be discontinuing this size.
Would have been daft to buy the smaller pack, but hoping we don't turn orange munching through them all before they go soft! (Never the same frozen!) May even make friends with local sheep....!Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
