I thought it would be worth buying tapioca recently because it was only about 7p. You have to add a pint of milk and 25g of sugar to 50g of pearls, simmer for 15 mins and then bake for 30.

what a waste of time! it was the most f***ing disgusting thing i've ever eaten! really gelatinous and rank. and i had so wanted to like it... at that price, i had planned to eat it every day for every meal, ha.

(plus, once you factor in the milk, sugar and 45 mins cooking time, it isn't as dirt cheap as it seems)

Haha, yeah I reckon so. I'd never had it before and didn't know anyone who had, so it was against my better judgement. But it is very frogspawn-ish. Just thinking about it makes me want to heave _pale_

Dont know if it was a special reduction in my Mr T, but Hartleys jelly sachets were reduced to 3p each, makes a pint of jelly! I picked up a couple for my LO, they had orange and strawberry.

OMG how can you not like tapicoa - it is THE best pudding ever!! Maybe it is the tapioca that makes it like jelly as you don't get that with the whitworths one. Yum!

it was the whitworths one! hahaha oh dear. i think it must be one of those things you like if you're used to it, but if it's a new experience it's just too weird!
