We have them near us too, but no points for using them. They take far too long to use. A bit of a waste of Tesco's money imo.0

Hi Mum2one
I found this out today, and the same applies. Ho hum...that's tescos for you.0 -
But now Tesco have changed their reward policy, they will only give out points on soft drinks cans, and they now equal 2 points.
.
I'm really disappointed too! I always take my recycling to Tesco for the extra points. Won't be bothering any more as have very few cans to recycle so won't be worth it.Ebay: £34.680 -

Same her, we only use have 6 cans pop a week in house, keep them going do it monthly, but same here its not worth making an effort to recycle at Tesco, when ur not getting points.
back to the recycling collection from the council - pretty sure somewhere alongthe lineour council tax pays 4 it. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Aluminium drinks cans are worth considerably more than one point anyway.
Give them to a charity or collect them your self.
BTW keep them DRY, the recyclers don't like ones with water in the bottom - probably causes liquid metal to splatter all over the place when they go into the furnace.0 -

Have paid a visit over the last week and fortunately the one down here in our part of Essex remains unaltered - still giving points for cans, bottles, etc..."Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

Tesco are allowed to change the reward policy,
Realise it is their perogative. However the way they did it was very underhand and deceitful. They put up a poster saying that as a thankyou for recycling they were now giving us one point for every two cans - making everyone think they were getting extra. What they didn't say was that they were taking away all the other points!!!!!!!! In our house it means that our own recyling bin will be a lot fuller and the milk bottles I used to bring home from work will end up in a landfill site somewhere. - Come on Tescos give us back the incentive!!!!!!!0
