How big exactly is the twix tube? Maybe paint it, then paste on pictures decoupage-stylee of grandson's favourite bands or football team (maybe he has old magazines lying around you could snaffle for this, or download stuff off the net), then cut a slot in it to make it into a huge personalised moneybox?0

They're pretty but grandaughter is 16 this christmas and not into ballet dancing, and I think by the time I've stuck a few 'handbag' bits on that'll be enough decoration.Mary

Hi Mary, could the twix tube be used as a small vase? You could make some card/MDF flowers and decorate them, pop them onto thin poles and put in vase. Or if tube isn't very wide could you do this but with one flower? Would that work
Only got this idea in my head after seeing Melissa's post about this lovely item... http://www.alteredelement.co.uk/epages/es108190.sf/en_GB/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es108190_es119921283844/Products/15007/SubProducts/15007-0005. The site says this item is out of stock, I have a sneaky feeling Melissa cleared the stock out :rotfl:
Rainmac - how dare you - that's slander!!! I was actually good and only bought one. I did think though you could make them yourself. The sticks that are used are just like long lollipop sticks. There is a seller on ebay that sells them. You could buy the bare chipboard flowers yourself or just try to cut some out of some thick card. I know Wilko used to sell cheap oasis, or I suppose you could just use a lump of blue tack/plasticene (have I spelt that right?), if you were just using a few flowers.0
