Hi I wonder if anyone can help me. I remember last year seeing a site mentioned on here that was very cheap and sold a variety of things that could be used as presents - eg makeup bags kids toys - some were priced at 1 pound and others were under the heading of under 2 pounds etc it was a bit like the poundland site. Unfortunately I have lost the bookmark of the site due to computer problems and would be really grateful if anyone could tell me what it was.
Many thanks

Bumping this up as there's some good ideas on it especially the Christmas Alphabet book (p.132) done by Nemotoad:TI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Hi
I should rename myself last minute as no matter how I try, everything always seems to be last minute
Anyhoo, I'm planning on making choc brownies using the online lurpak recipe which is THE best ( I use Lidl's cheap chocolate), some shortbread and peppermint creams, might try using coffee and tia maria or baileys as well for coffee creams. I just need some ideas of how to package them.
Somewhere !!? hopefully I have a load of jars that I have been saving. We've been decorating and I no longer know where anything is, just hoping they haven't been recycled. Any jar ideas greatly appreciated. My budget is £1 and under - I will accompany each gift with a lottery ticket or scratchcard. I will also be using the cheque idea for dates with special friends, accompanied with a calendar with said date for coffee and a stroll, iceskating, picnic in the park etc.
I found this while having a search this morning, a good idea for a small jokey pressie - Survival kits
rubberband-to hold things together!
marble-for when you lose yours!
battery-to help you keep going and going!
mint-because you're worth a mint!
match or candle-to brighten or lighten things up!
Snickers bar-when you need to laugh
and chocolate just because!
Also found sock hand warmers, just stuff a sock with rice( Lidl's do cheap rice), put in the microwave and use to warm hands or as a cold or hot compress for ailments. Maybe an idea to use up all the odd socks that accumalate over the year, depending on condition
Sorry to ramble, I have 2 days to make things, any suggestions welcome, thanks Deb x0 -
Hi Debs, yours is the first post on this thread for 3 years so its possible that not many people will respond. I've only seen it because I'd forgotten to unsubscribe! LOL!
Unfortunately, I've not got any ideas apart from if you have some plastic storage boxes you could decant anything you have in jars (like jam!) into them and use the jars if you can't find your original ones. Haven't got any other ideas I'm afraid, unless you can make some boxes up from recycled cardboard. I have a stash of some really good boxes that I've collected over the last couple of years that used to have make up or jewellery in them and am going to decoupage over the boxes to make them look pretty and re-usable.0 -
thanks ceejay, maybe I should copy and paste to a new thread ?0
