Well, so far today I've covered two shoe boxes and done yet another 'safe keeping' jar. Still to do..........
Stuff baby socks with lavender for teenage grandson to put in trainers
Handbag pegs for grandaughter
Love the idea of the socks, do you think it would work using bicarb in a cotton bag inside the sock. For some reason my OH just loves baby shoes, whenever we go round a market he is always picking them up 'oh look they're so cute' so I was wondering how I could justifiably buy him a pair without them becoming just another bit of clutter
What are handbag pegs please0 -
sandy- I've just finished filling two pairs of baby socks with lavender and now think I should have picked a herb a bit less 'potent'.............house smells oof lavender everywhere.............oh well its done now. Don't know about bicarb..........I just went into the local herb shop and got the most 'scented' stuff there....eeked out the lavender by putting cotton wool at the toes and heels.
Handbag pegs I saw on a thread somewhere ages ago..........its a bit of mdf I'd got thats about 18 inches long - painted it off white, ordered some shaker style pegs to screw in it and them I'm going to put handbag embellishment/stickers on it. Hopefully grandaughter will realise its meant to go on the wall and somewhere to hang up her handbagsMary

Hello everyone,
I haven't posted on this thread yet (I don't think so, anyway!) but I am an avid reader
I was out shopping today and I came across a very simple idea which some of you may like. It was basically a teatray, which had been filled with wrapped sweets and then cellophaned over. the shop was charging £15.99 for them!! I very sure it could be done a lot cheaper :rotfl:
I've a few crafty projects going on for family this year (but I can't say what as some of them post on this site)
Yay for Christmas! 0 -

Hi - I read this thread every day but don't post on it very often. You all have brilliant ideas and I'm impressed with the creativity and moneysaving!
Sandy, as your OH loves baby shoes, you could buy him a pair with laces and he could hang them from his rear-view mirror, like people hang a pair of dice. You could even stuff them with some air-freshener - that way they'd be useful and not just more clutter.
Hope this helps.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
