The only sensible thing to do is see your doctor. I took pills throughout because of hyperemesis and was hospitalised a few times. It can be a dangerous condition if you don't get proper help.

Wishing you luck. It's no fun. But totally worth it!
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

Thanks all - I think i made it worse for myself last time by eating very little, as isnt it all to do with blood sugar and the best thing to do is eat little and often?

I'd totally second this. I had hyperemesis and no one took me seriously (apart from hubby) until I keeled over in the waiting room at the clinic. By then I was so dehydrated that they couldn't get a drip into me, so they had to give me an injection of anti sickness drugs and tablets to take when I could keep them down (literally nothing stayed down, not even water, and I was sick until I was throwing up blood and could barely move - sorry if tmi!)

A friend of mine who was then training to be a GP had suggested I ask for anti-emetic drugs but I was so scared about taking tablets during pregnancy. I was eventually prescribed Cyclizine, an old style anti-histamine - and I am so glad I took them. They didn't stop me FEELING sick but they stopped me BEING sick, so I could start to eat again and feed my baby as well as myself. Not the most fun few months I've ever had though! I also used travel sickness bands which did help a bit, but it was the tablets that saved me - I lost a stone in about 10 days at one point. I'd say go and see your GP, and don't be fobbed off with advice about crackers and ginger biscuits! Good Luck and I hope you feel blooming soon! x

congrats roxie - i remember from your diary thread that your were looking forward to extending the family at some point.

i guess this solves your decision about whether you should apply for that job or not?! life has a funny way of doing that.

no advice about the morning sickness, but i hope it doesnt put a dampener on the pregnancy for you. all the best.

Sickness bands helped me. Although i was still sick with them on, if I'd take them off i was even worse. Even slept in them.
    Congrats BTW :j !!
