Rosie - I have tried CD's for weightloss and relaxation. As they didn't work I really didn't bother with a CD for morning sickness!!!

Being on a mega tight budget, its tough luck on me anyway!

I am 26 + 2 now and I was sick this morning! tmi sorry....I found that with the general morning sickness travel bands were great, as was eating regularly, just something plain. I also had severe morning sickness and I've never been so skinny. The only thing that stopped that was being injected and taking phenergen (sp?). Poor me, I was a right sorry state, never looked so awlful!!! I also got tested for twins but there's only one in there. I can finally eat normally again now and it's heaven. Except I still don't really have a bump so still not much to show off and I've only got a few months to go! But I'm 6 ft something so MW says I'm not to worry!!

The one thing I would say is thinking about it makes it worse.... I have also been told that every pregnancy is different so try and not worry too much just yet. Oh, and my top tip is do not eat an apple on an empty stomach... I may never be able to eat an apple again after that incident. Goodluck :j

Oh and before I even opened my eyes properly in the morning I shoved a Jacobs cornish cracker in my mouth. Worked a treat!

I found with my 1st that having to wake up with an alarm (a shock awakening at 6am) made me a lot worse lots of vomiting in the shower, with my second i was part time didn't have the alarm waking me but a 14 month old it was a slightly more gradual wake up, was still sick but not so early in the morning i lived on lemon tea ginger biscuits and tomatoes for the 1st 4 months but it did wear off, the sea sickness bands are ment to be good. good luck xx

I think the cd is meant to be more about the vibrations/waves which is why you have to listen through headphones. I dont think you can hear anything - its definitely not a talking cd - may be just noises. I'll give it a go if I get as bad as last time - will report back!

Sickness during pregnancy is one of those things that people don't understand unless they have experienced it. in my case it was horrendous both times (hence no thrid baby) and I leterally could not work or even do housework for 6 months. The first 4 months is spent being sick and then you are weak from a lack of nutrients which are hard to replace.

My advice is to get a sympathetic doctor and don't stop asking until you get results.

For me i was given anti nausea tablets at 20 weeks as I had lost weight the first time, then the second time i asked for them at 11 weeks. they can be taken from 10 weeks usually I think.

I found that after around 20 weeks I was able to cut down and only take them on bad days (when travelling that sort of thing)

I know people are scared of taking drugs during pregnancy but i felt that not keeping any food down was more harmful to my babies. i had anemia and low levels of every nutrient and that is not good for a growing baby.

Funnily enough I found my male doctor was more sympathetic than my female doctor as she just wanted me to keep waiting until it passed. well i knew it wouldn't pass and i had to think of my other child who i couldn't look after properly.

Don't be afraid to insist if you get bad as it can be more harmful not to.

With my first i had to keep an apple at the side of the bed to start eating before i sat up. I also had excessive tirednessandwould sleep for at least 15/16 hours a day plus the occasional nap, i livedonrice for a while to. My second it was coffee (decaff) and bourbon biscuits
    wondering what to do next......:undecided

    Roxi - congratulations!

I too am pregnant and unfortunately i'm having awful morning sickness and look like a ghost permanently. I've actually lost a few pounds as well!

Today was the first time that I haven't been sick in the morning or early afternoon after a solid three weeks, but my stomach is nowe at about 5pm starting to churn again - oh well!

I tried the sickness wrist bands and they did nothing for me. I find sleeping helps, but then my night sleep is disturbed. So far giner nut biscuits have saved me from total starvation, but I go through phases. Last week it was toast (which this week I can't face) and the week before that was apples. This week clear veg soup seems to help at dinner time.

Good luck and if you fancy a chat/moan anytime then please PM me :D
