Oh Avicola, I was hoping for more positive news. I think they're taking this 'manana' thing tooooo far

Happy new year though.
I'm really hoping that everything works out for you - exactly how you want it, and that EVERYTHING will be done and dusted by the end of February 2009 at the latest.
I subscribed to this thread from the very beginning, and I bet a lot of other people do as well. Keeps us upto date. I'm rooting for you and I'm glad to see that you still have some sense of humour still intact.:j I hope my comment helps :T0 -

at that time the market in Tenerife was booming and the exchange rate was good. Buying off plan is common practice and people rarely have the money to actually purchase them.
We bought them purely as a speculation to sell, which the estate agent said would be no problem and they usually sold the same property 2 or 3 times before it was completed.
So, these apartments were never built to be used at all. They were just for trading purposes. There was nothing in this that struck the OP as, well, odd?
It reminds me of the time in 2002 when I had a flat compulsorily purchased in Rotherhithe. I went to see the local estate agents to find a replacement, and their response was that they could get me not one replacement but seven, using the sale proceeds of the first flat as a deposit for the other seven. In fact, property prices have increased quite a lot in Rotherhithe since then, so I guess it might have worked out okay for a while, but I did not fancy taking that risk.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
dam. you plan to fleece others seems to have backfired on yourself.
have you tried taking legal action against your own personal greed ?
seems like you were happy if prices went up, but unhappy and looking to blame someone else as prices have fallen. i think there's little, well nothing that you can do. take the loss. learn and move on.
you took a speculative punt. and lost.

OH i remember this one well...i wonder how they are doing...:rotfl::rotfl:It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
