My father uses cotton traders. His credit cards have, in the past two weeks, been used to try and buy mobile phone credit. GM were straight on it though and notified us so we could cancel the card. This was a card that has been used on Cotton Traders for a while.
HOWEVER!!
We have just had a statement for an HSBC card that has been used on the Cotton Traders website ONCE in the past month, and that too has been used for mobile phone credit not 3 days after we purchased something from cotton traders. Note, the card is new, it isn't used for anything else!!!
Another report here of cotton traders allowing fraud. 2 transactions of mobile phone credit been bought for o2 and orange. Luckily the bank seen this and were on the ball. Seen as this card is hardly used maybe once a month and even then only online. It begs the question how secure is rogue traders?0 -
Yep Cotton Traders have cocked it up again. Once seems to be a little careless but twice is down right incompetent.
My wife has now got caught twice. Needless to say Cotton Traders will not be getting any trade from us. Is there any come back on them???0 -

I sent a mail to the Sun alerting them to this thread but had nothing back from them. Guess it must be a non story and they're too busy with this stupid BBC fuss currently!0 -
Seems like Cotton Traders were compromised last night.
My wife made an order via their website last night and recieved a letter from the bank today saying that they had identified some unusual activity that had taken place on her account, after speaking to our bank it seems that Cotton Traders were the problem.0 -
