did anybody else manage to get their first payment in june?

I realised that my interest all £2 of it has been swept in to the web saver at month end & not left in the reg saver
having looked through the terms i cannot see this was the deal.have emailed them and am awaiting response.

Yes, I did - and it shows that I have about a fiver's accrued interest in the RS account. WebSaver account is empty.

I'd be interested to know when that will arrive. What is the sending bank?

Sent from Coventry BS on July 1st. Arrived Halifax International July 3rd.

Bit the bullet and applied for one of these online last Wednesday.
    (already have the onshore version)
I don't expect to be able to fill it up, but I hope to sweep as much as I can into it in the early months.

To-day, I tried to check online whether my first payment sent on Monday had arrived and found the regular saver could not be added to the portfolio.

I phoned Halifax Int. and was told the account had been closed! Apparently, they had a system error and as a result some accounts were closed in error! Apparently, accounts with a zero balance were affected.

    Good spot Dagobert!
Just checked mine - it was funded with two payments but has been closed and balance transfered to a websaver:mad:

Just phoned them up - they are going to phone the Isle of Man to see what is going on and will call me back.

    From the Halifax International site:-

Our 10% AER**/Gross* p.a. Regular Saver Account has proved such a hit we are giving you extra time to get yours! Just open your account and make your first payment by the 24th October 2008

All they need to do is fix the computer - see previous post:(

same here this lot are useless.
    just spoken to them
reason for closure they rec payment on 26/jun then another on 3/jul therefore 1 month has not lapsed

I explained that if my standing order is dated the 1st of every month & they rec it on the 3rd of the month when there is a weekend they wont rec the funds until the 5th then the next month when there is no weekend they will get the funds on the 3rd thus closing the account again , this is mad:mad:
not worth re applying for it.in my opinion

    Thanks worried3,

I have the exact same deposit dates as you do.
I've phoned them twice so far - they didn't say anything about two payments so close together. The lady I spoke to agreed that the account should not have been closed. Terms and conditions just say payment should be between the 1st and 26th of the month.

She have said it will be re-opened with the same account number and the interest lost will be backdated. This has not happened yet.

My next deposit is due on August 1st so I will wait until Wednesday. Then if not fixed, I'll delay the next deposit and think what to do next!

    Watch this space:angry:
