  • ive amassed nearly £120 in advantage points but i still don't know what i can and cannot spend it on... can i just use it to buy purchases instead of using cash or a credit card say?!... can i use it to buy from boots.com??

    regards,

No, not on Boots.com but instore. Look at the tickets on the shelf you can use for anything with a * on the label but like the previous poster mentioned, you have to use it for full payment, not part payment. You can even use them on 3 for 2's do if you buy 3 x items for £10.00 on 3 for 2 you would get charged 2000 points!! nice!!

Last year when I went there were people in store that just turned up but all they got was a 10% voucher given on the door - are you an advantage card holder already? I got a personal invite and had to call to get my voucher, without this I would not have got the extra points. Maybe it has changed this year then, I can't go til after the middle of November so I'll check the website then.

I am an agent for a 'Hamper Company' my customers only order 'the High street Vouchers' from me-not the hampers (too expensive), I have got loads of customers, and end up with over £120 comisssion a year.

I get some vouchers myself, which can be used in Boots, would i still have the 1200 points if I spent £50.00 in High Street Vouchers?

Another question...if I put BOGOF say 3 x £10.00 on the till first, then BOGOF 3 x £5.00, would they taken off £10.00 then £5.00 saving £15.00. Or would they calculate at the end and take off £5.00 and another £5.00......does that make sense to anyone???

They always take off the 2 lowest value items, ie 2 x £5. You have to be real smart and a pain in the neck to get it right.

Phoned Boots this morning and they state that you do not have to book, just turn up.
  • Does anyone know if I can use advantage points to buy gift vouchers? And can I earn advantage points if I pay cash for the gift vouchers?

    Thanks

  • Additional to what everyone else has said, the T&Cs for the xmas shopping events state:
"Customers will receive 1200 Advantage Card points for every £50.00 spent in a single transaction. Points are not available with Infant milks (up to 6 months), prescription items, gift vouchers/cards or postage stamps. At Boots Opticians, we'll give you 1 point for every £1 you spend. "
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.
