I would like to add a note to say how fab the customer service at CD Wow are. I have just spoken to them with the same issue about receiving a Region 1 and they could not be more apologetic and sure enough are sending out a Region 2 at no extra cost as "it was our mistake".

Thank you CD Wow if only all customer service departments were like yours.

I also contacted them yesterday re this - I think our dvd plays NTSC (or whatever it is!!) but didn't want to chance it as xmas pressie for dh - they are sending out pre-paid envelope together with replacement hopefully next week as they currently have no stock. Was advised that all orders placed before 18th Nov will be replaced no quibble as that is when the web-site was corrected. She told me they had hundreds being returned hence why no current stock, but assured me it should arrive in time for xmas.

I took advantage of the £17.99 price and got it down to £16.24 with permanent 75p off, plus £1 voucher.  I received the Region 1 version, which is not a problem for me, as I have a multi-region player and a TV that can display NTSC.  However, although NTSC has a faster refresh rate, it only displays 400 lines, not 525 as PAL does, therefore (in theory) the picture will not be as sharp.  So I thought that I would ask for what I ordered from CD-WOW.

They were great, replying to my e-mail within a few hours and I then received a freepost envelope the next day, to return the Region 1 version.  Also got an e-mail confirming despatch of the Region 2 version - just waiting for that now.  All in all, great price and superb customer service.

I just ordered the Region 3 version of Spiderman 2 (two-disc edition) for £6.99 delivered, using one the £1 off links on this site and another £1 voucher.  I've ordered about another 5 items today like this, saving £2 on each (separate) order.  How these people make any money is beyond me!

Many of the discs ship from Hong Kong and arrive within 2-3 days.  Next day delivery from Amazon is great, but I can wait a few days at these prices!

Also, someone else noted that there were lines on their Live Aid disc - it's not a problem with the disc or NTSC recordings, but due to the camera being close to very loud music! (according the notes in the DVD).

If you remember that day in 1985 (as vividly as I can), you should get this DVD at any price - excellent!

thanks for posting this guys, I hadn't checked mine and lo and behold its region 1 despite the order being for region 0.

they had better replace mine with region 2 as I spend a hell of a lot of money with them. >:( >:( >:(

My Region 2 replacment arrived yesterday,but with no freepost envelope to return the reg 1 version,or any mention to return it,so think I will keep it safe for them to ask for it back.
Bargain for £16 ish.

They pulled the £17.99 version when it came as region 1,instead of region 0.
