LIVE AID 4xDVD SET FOR £17.99

Well I contacted cd-wow about this issue and they were very quick with their reply. The dvd is multi region so will work on any dvd player.
The DVD is NOT Multiregion. IT IS REGION 1 ONLY.
You may also need a TV which has NTSC scart input or else you will not get a color picture, but a lot of DVD players will do the conversion before it gets to the TV.
Unless you have a multiregion player, then this DVD will NOT play on a UK standard DVD player.
Got my copy today and very happy ;D ;D0 -
I got my copy and it is region 1

However, contacted them to point out their error and they were very good about it and will replace it with a region 2 version for no extra cost, but only while stocks last. They said they would post it out to me along with a freepost envelope to return the region 1 DVDs.0 -
Got mine today. Quote from the back of the box:
PAL 4:3 FF
COLOUR
4xDVD-9
REGIONS: 2,3,4,5,6
I had enquired about the NTSC/Region issues and they said that all the DVDs were NTSC and they could send me Region 2. Make of it what you will.
If you email them, they are very helpful and quick to respond.digital0 -
Got my copy today lo and behold - Region 1.
Will not play on my Panasonic player. Have just phoned the customer services. They were most helpful. They are sending Region 2 copy together with a post paid envelope to send back the Region 1.
The operator was most apologetic.0 -
I just bought one of the £24.95 DVD players from Argos, as recommended on another thread, here at MSE.
It plays NTSC region 1 discs perfectly, no problem, just like my other (Bush) DVD player.
The picture and sound quality of the £24.95 unit is very good, too. Why pay more?0 -
I purchased one of these for a chrimbo prezzie. After reading the thread on here as soon as it arrived I sent them an email asking if it would play ok on as on the site it stated Worldwide play but arrived as Region 1 before I even took the wrapping off it. Ive received a very nice email apologising for the error and they are sending a region 2 out to me with a freepost envelope to send the other one back.
This is my first dealing with cd-wow and to be honest I will use them again. It's nice to know that in a society of politically correct words that Customer Service is actually a department that does work!0 -
I've got a region 1 disc also..
Not to concerned about it, as I'm multi regioned, but are there any content differences?
Don't want to break the seal til I know for sure!0 -

I don't think there are any content differences? I know a lot of people moan about it being incomplete, but that's a criticism aimed at the whole package in general.
No Led Zep performance, amongst a host of other 'edited' bits.
No doubt a 'special edition' will be released in years 2 come
Still, what we get is certainly worth the asking price alone

Just an update, my replacement DVD arrived today. 8)
Its Multiregion and best of all in PAL too. I have tested it and the quality of play is A1 (much better than the NTSC). ;D
CD WOW are A1 for service in my book..0 -
received mine yeseterday, will play but it kind of jumps, so i think my DVD player is working too hard with the NTCC and region 1 problem, called them up and the yare going to replace....so i can still watch until region pal copy turns up....but i may need medication after as its very odd........ ::)Charles J0
