Hippy110 - I had a spell of freecycling earlier in the year. I didn't bother registering a different username, and just used my yahoo address that I already had. When I advertised an item, I always included the first part of the postcode in the headline - eg Child's Scooter CT2. For some items I had quite a few replies, and I made sure that I kept them in the order I received them. I contacted the first person to get back to me, and mostly they were the ones who answered and made arrangements to collect the item, a few times I sent a reminder, and then if I didn't hear, emailed again to let them know that I had gone on to the next person on the list. I know some people say that they will give the item to the person they feel needs it most, or they give a deadline for replies and do a lucky dip.

Wow, and i'm still a convert! Still, managed to get 29 items listed:D . Looking at the 2 baskets of DD2's outgrown clothes and just thinking that I'll box them up, list whats in the box and list as 2 or 3 boxes of mixed clothing;) ! Just because I cannot be bothered to list small lots! It's taking toooo long:rotfl:

Don't know where DH put his mess dress or his motorbike helmets:mad: so they will have to wait till he comes home from work. At least turbolister will keep what I've done and i can just bulk list when its all on. As long as i get it done before bedtime i'm not tooo bothered.

On a plus side, I can see a patch of floor in my bedroom:j . If all this stuff shifts then i will have nearly half a bedroom back:o and a load of cash:D . I'm a terrible hoarder, thank goodness for the decluttering thread and here, i have been given a right kick up the behind as far as getting rid of clutter. Just gotta put a photo and advert in the NAAFI to get rid of a rocking horse now. I know my mum and dad bought it for DD1 but both of them just ignore it now so it might as well go to someone who will enjoy it!

Still no news about DH's work yet:mad: thought the service complaints commissioner might have gotten back to me about it but will have to wait and see:rolleyes:

Speak to you all later ... enjoy the rest of the day!:D :D:D

    Hi

Inspired by you all on here I made my own list last night. Just finished stairs and landing as that is the job on a Thursday :D

Dusted everywhere, including inside lamp shade,
    Cleaned and washed window
Cleaned blind ( What a job )
    Washed down paintwork
    Hoovered
    Polished and then......

    Painted woodwork :D.

Dont know if I will go to that extent every week but I quite enjoyed it and looking forward to tomorrow when the cavern that is the DD's bedroom looms ;)

Thank you all for the inspiration.

Oooh spooky! Ok serena - i'll ask you a question so you have to post..... erm....erm.....it'll have to be the obvious.....are you eating anything from your allotment yet? We're a bit late due to digging the beds but we've had rocket and raddish. Got very excited last night when I saw the beans poking through the soil. The peas plants are looking very strong. The parsnips (second attempt) have done nothing.

Website - i've written up one treatment...only a million to go, lol! xx

:hello: hi yellow monkey! Well done! You'll be dragging in complete strangers to admire your twinkly hallway you know! (I did when I emptied and painted the understairs cupboard...)

You won't need to do it to the same extent next time, as the hard work has been done!
