same message about a possible reduction in price but this one also hints at a lite version of IPhone. Let us see what finally comes out of today's conference.0 -
I just followed the keynote speech at Apple's WWDC. It is now confirmed that the new 3G iPhone, with built-in GPS, will be available on July 11th at half the price it currently sells for.
Might finally be tempted to get one...0 -
Is there any news of a Pay As You Go version? I'm hopefully moving to the States next year, so I don't have much need for a contract phone. However, I am the sort of person that will pay "over the odds for a poorly specced out phone because it has an apple logo on it", so I would very much like one....lol0

At the risk of sounding thick, is this likely to have any impact on the price of an ipod touch, as I'm thinking of getting one? Thanks.0

I hope it doesn't make you sound thick. I was wondering the same thing. Will there be a Touch 2.0 and will it have more memory or a card slot? There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I'd expect to see a reduction in price for the iPod touch. Though you have to pay for the latest firmware update (again).
I'm a little underwhelmed by the announcement today. I think all the hype and rumours built it up too much, and nothing said at the keynote speech came as a surprise..."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"

That's the very reason I held off buying one. If I could get an iPhone for the same price as the touch is now, it would be just super.0

Any info about the contracts/network provider? I really can't justify paying £30+ per month for my contract.0

Still an O2 exclusive. The iPhone will be available from July 11th according to the website. Not sure if there's a change to the tariffs (unlikely), but expect more details tomorrow."Who throws a shoe, honestly?"

Contracts will be the same in the UK as the iPhone gen 1.... however iPhone 3G will be 2 year contracts only... the phone will be about £100 to buy0
